hey !
same thing happened to my friend, the doctor put her on birth control pills for three months to fix her cycles, for her she had to take the pills for 6 months and her cycle became regular. Why don't you try that? better yet just go to the doctor, you might have PCOS, i have it and so did my friend who i just mentioned. Its different in every body, so best is to go to the doctor. Good luck!Advice, tips someone please help me!?
You aren't too young. Sadly, our bodies are most fertile at 14-15-16 years of age. Of course, most people aren't financially or emotionally ready to have a baby at that age, but it goes back to our prehistoric ancestors...
Regardless, doctors recommend that if you are under the age of 35 and don't get pregnant within six months, you should go to see someone to talk to them about it. Check with Planned Parenthood (they have OB services, as well) or your local clinic to find out if someone can just help you find out the basics. That might be a good way to take care of the insurance issue in the least expensive way possible.
That being said, most insurance programs don't cover infertility programs, sadly, so you aren't alone in that boat!! It's terrible.
I wish you all the best!
You've been ttc since you were 16? wow!
okay, you need to figure out when you ovulate.

You need to BD (baby dance - sex) 2 days before that, and the day of. Sperm can live inside you for up to 5 days so BD every day isn't needed.
After you BD you need to lay on your back with a pillow under your butt (1 is enough). Put your knees up (feet flat on the bed). This will keep the sperm inside of you and give them the added help of gravity so they'll slide further into you.
Lay like this for about 20 - 30 minutes.
Also get yourself on some pre-natal vitamins now. It'll help. Get your man on some multi-vitamins. Make sure he is wearing boxers and not tightie whities. He needs to keep those little swimmers as cool as possible. No hot tubs lol.
If your period is regular now it's not a problem. Everyone's period is irregular when they are teens. If you are still irregular it doesn't mean you aren't ovulating just that it'll be harder to pinpoint when it's happening.
Whoever told you your body isn't ready at 20 is full of bull sh**. If our bodies weren't ready til we were older then teenage pregnancy wouldn't be the big problem it is.
If you actively try like this for a year and nothing happens then go see a fertility specialist. Don't get stressed if it doesn't happen. Even with perfect timing you only have a 25% chance of conceiving each month. A healthy couple can take up to a year to conceive when actively trying.
Good luck!
edit: if you don't have insurance you may want to get some. You can't go through a pregnancy without medical care and, I'm assuming, it gets expensive (I live in Ontario and we get free health care so I have no idea how much it all costs) but I've heard that even just the giving birth part costs a few thousand dollars.
my advice is go to the ob/gyn and discuss your situation with them they will be able to tell you what to do and run some tests to let you know if you can concieve then they can send you to someone else if they can't help you
that is a long time to have been trying. If you haven't gone already, I suggest seeing a specialist to see what is up.
