Okay Mate, I hope I can help in some way.

Playing Centre - initially, stand defensive goal side of the Centre Bounce, make Sure your Ruck-man is Well Aware of this. That is, unless the Coach already has another Set Play for Centre Bounces.

Asses early in the game whether your Team or Theirs are Winning the Centre Taps, and if they are, Who is their ruck-man knocking it down to, so You'll be able to Stop That Players Run.

In general play find out Who Your Opponent is as Quick as you can and RUN with Him, If you find that you've got his Measure, then, start to run off of him and Create Chances for Your Team. You'll soon Know if Your Doing a Good Job Because Suddenly You'll have a Different Opponent.

I hope I've been able to help Mate, and as Far as the Nerves go, Mate, It's a Game of Football, and it's Yours for the Taking, Good Luck!!!Afl(Aussie Rules)advice/tips towards how to play good as a midfielder?
You dont train hard enough for starters mate, theres a lot more you could be doing.

Lots of anarobic threshold work so you wont tire so much in the midfield.

You say your fit, but clearly your not, because you say you get slack when you are buggered, well if you were really fit you wouldnt get so buggered.

Get fit and get in shape!
- Be confident in your abilities

- Know that you can get the ball

- Dont pass to a player that is under pressure

-
A slack midfielder? Nope - going nowhere.

When you really want to play you will start doing the hard work and improving
just keep working hard a training and have fun
run and carry and take risks mate
