Paris in April 2007. Any advice, tips, suggestions, etc?

I'd appreciate any serious input on my future trip! Thanks!Paris in April 2007. Any advice, tips, suggestions, etc?
Paris is a great place..

your must-sees (at least to me)

Jardin Luxembourg

Lourve

Sacr茅-Coeur (Montmarte)

Notr茅-dame

i feel that Paris is best explore on foot, however it is convenient taking the m茅tro, be careful though of pickpockets and snatch thief in the train station or on the train. (this got to take note)

hope you enjoy ur trip.. the website below offers quite useful info : http://www.parisinfo.com/Paris in April 2007. Any advice, tips, suggestions, etc?
I was there not too long ago.

Definetly an awesome place to go.

Notre dome.

Eiffel tower. (go up to the top. It's definetly a great view of paris)

Take a river tour in paris. Great sights and if you do it in the early evening you see the tower lit up, its beautiful.

Louvre. Spend some time here. The ceilings and paintings are amazing and one day isn't nearly enough....it's huge!

Sacre coeur cathedral. by far the best cathedral.

Take the metro. It's faster than by foot.

Also the catacombs are pretty cool. Definetly go with someone who speaks french so they can translate the enscriptions on the walls though.

The arc de triumph is pretty neat.

and shopping on the champs alyssee is awesome too. it has all the designer shops.

On top of everything, take lots of pictures and do as much as you can.
Oh my, too many things to see...

Pompidou Centre

Musee D'Orsay

Arc d'Triomphe

Sacre Cour

Tour Eiffel

and of course Jim Morrison's grave

Metro is very very convenient, although the city is beautiful on foot! Metro tickets are sold down in the metro stops, and major stations also sell museum passes, so if you're planning on seeing a lot of museums this is definately worth it. It covers entrance fees to most of the Paris museums.

Hope you have a fantastic trip!
You're going to love Paris! If this is your first time, I would suggest purchasing one of those ';Top Ten'; tour guides before going. Definitely go to all the major sites...the Louvre, Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower, etc. I would also suggest spending an afternoon in Montmartre near Sacre Coeur...it's beautiful there, and there are lots of street performers and delicious creperies!

Also, check out the Musee d'Orsay. It's smaller than the Louvre and boasts an unbelievable impressionist exhibit.

The Pantheon is also amazing...if you go there, hit up the Jardins de Luxembourg as well.

IF you have time, I would highly recommend spending a day at Versailles. I was just there this summer (it was my 6th visit), and we spent the entire day wandering around the gardens on bicycles. It was so much fun!

Also, another interesting side trip would be to go to Giverny (about 2 hours away...you can access it by train/tour bus) where Monet lived. Gorgeous!

I hope you have an amazing time...I'm excited for you! Bon voyage!
