I want to get into modeling. Tips and advice?

So, I really want to get into modeling. I'm 14, around 5';3, and 100 lbs exactly. (So I'm pretty skinny, but that's not by choice :P)

I'm really not too sure how to go about it or anything, and even just starting up a portfolio and getting some good experience for later would be fine for now. Tips and whatnot on how to get started would be appreciated?I want to get into modeling. Tips and advice?
Okay, I'm so tired of these ';model questions';.About 99% of people who ask them , CANT model.I am a former pro model, I did runway ,commercials, catalogs, and more.

I am also a makeup artist and hair stylist for some agencies, and I have lots of friends who are agents, so I really know anything there is to know about modeling.

First, you need to understand how the modeling world works. This is a very harsh world. You have to have ALL of the requirements they are searching form otherwise, it's goodbye.

It's almost the same requirements in all kinds of modeling.the whole point of models is to look better than the average woman,so a model needs to be taller, slimmer, more attractive

have longer legs, etc..In shows like ';america's next top model'; and all other modeling shows on TV, you can sometimes see that they make exceptions:they take shorter ,or fuller models. These

shows are NOT the way the real modeling world works. The real modeling world is extremely brutal, and there is only a 0.1 % chance that they will make a small exceptions. You may say ';Oh, this woman is talking bul***t right now,

and there are people like ______________ that don't have all of the requirements';. It's really NOT like that.Just because ______ got an exception, there is an extremely small chance that you will also get one.

So, here are all of the requirements:

You must be tall. To do ANY kind of modeling , you need to be at least 5';7.5 , and they will actually measure you. This height is considered extremely short, and you will get almost no jobs.To do runway/high fashion, you need to be

at least 5';8 , and high fashion is 10 times more brutal and strict than any other kinds of modeling, so again, you will get almost mo jobs with this height.

You need to have the body for it.This has to be very accurate. You cant be a size double zero/zero, but you also can't be more than a size four.Your weight needs to be healthy for your height and age.You need to have a healthy Body Mass Index

You need to keep your body in shape.Eat healthy, and go to the gym frequently. You need to have extremely long legs, broad shoulders, and a long neck.

You need to have the face for it. As I already said, you need to look better than the average woman,so If they put you in a crowd of thousands of beautiful girls, you need to stand out and attract attention. If you get called ';pretty';,or ';gorgeous';, it

doesn't automatically mean you can model. You cant have ';girl- next door'; beauty, you need to have very UNIQUE beauty. You have to have healthy , undamaged hair. You need to have straight white teeth, and your skin needs to be excellent:with no acne, large pores, scars,

rashes, stretch marks,or cellulite.Your face can't be too long or too short, as those don't photograph well. You must have medium to full lips.Your nose has to be ';perfect'; for your face, neither too small or too big.You must have medium to big sized eyes, they must be almond

shaped and slightly wide-set.

People always seem to think that modeling is so easy, glamourous, and cool, and that anyone who is tall, skinny, and beautiful can get into the business.

NO.People who think like this have NO idea how wrong they are. So,unless you have all of what I wrote above, modeling is not for you. Trust me ,I know what I am talking about,

I have seen thousands of tall, beautiful girls being laughed at by agents and then being sent home. That is a big disappointment.I want to get into modeling. Tips and advice?
the photograph models are still pretty tall... if you look online companies like ford and wetseal and other companies are sometimes looking for models. just email people. you can also start by entering pageants. just keep your grades in school up.

Also, look for photography businesses near you. people who photograph senior pictures and family pictures. they sometimes look for models for their business cards. Thats how i started.
maybe have some professional photographs done of you and send some in to modeling agencies. or call an agency and see what they are looking for or other restrictions like age or something like that.

you are still quite short for some of the photo modeling but it all depends on the place you go. you might not get an opportunity until later on when your older, taller, whatever the people needed but if you can create a portfolio now that would probably really help out later on.

goodluck and hope i helped(:
Too short. End of story.

Edit: Oh okay. LOL thats different then. Yeah I guess, if you're pretty go for it. If you really want it, tell you mom to see if she can contact a talent agent, or some one to manage you, even local modelling agencies? If you can't get into modeling, i would become an extra for movies and stuff.
I dont know really ...

But my mate is going into modeling ..

Shes gonna have a photoshoot this month and then shes sending photos to the agencies. Check it on internet are there any agencies near where you live then go there and get some informations :)

Hope this helps .. ;*
you're way too short babe.

you'll stop growing in two years

and trust me you won't grow much.

it's not gonna happen.

get a new dream.

people aren't trying to be mean

YOU ARE TOO SHORT.

it's a fact.

think about it logically

why would they pick someone short when they have so many tall people to choose from.
you could never do runway. way too short. your best bet is looking up modeling agencies and seeing if they have a height requirement for all of the aspects of their company.
Local Modelinq Aqencies.
