I am 14 and currently interested in joining the USMC. I am serious about joining and would appreciate if an educated person on the subject or an ex marine could give me some information, advice and some tips on what to focus training on. If possible could someone give me an idea of what to expect at boot camp. I am 8 stone (112 lb), and at a height of 5 foot 7 inches. I would really really appreciate some tips, advice, training ideas or any other form of information that could aid me in my pursuit of being a successful marine. I live in the Republic of Ireland but am determined to get a spot in the USMC. I am trying at the moment to get better and better at running long distances and I am also trying to strengthen my legs. Please when answering, don't bull **** me or make it sound easy of it's not. Tell me how it is and let me know what I should do. Thanks :)I really want to join the USMC but am not sure if I'd make it. Does anyone have any advice, tips or info? tanx?
Run your *** off everyday, do pull ups, push ups and situps everyday, in that order.
Run
Pull Ups
Push Ups
Sit Ups
EVERY SINGLE DAY
Get to where you can run 5 mile with out stopping
Then start jogging with a ruck sack.
Do at least 20 pull ups in under 2 minutes
100 push ups in under 2 minutes
100 sit ups in under 2 minutes
If you can do all of the above mentioned items, your good to go, for any basic training schedule!I really want to join the USMC but am not sure if I'd make it. Does anyone have any advice, tips or info? tanx?
dont worry kid, its not that hard
just military public relations way of turning the USMC into some type of elite branch of the armed forces, which too many ignorant people believe.
btw, you dont even live in the US? are you American? ... how do you plan on joining the uSMC?
PS: If you want people to think you are a bad ***, join the marines, if you want to be a bad ***, join the special operations community.
100s of people make it through there everyday, you are no different.

obviously running would be helpful. Lots of pus ups and sit ups. And pull ups! i wouldnt really worry tho cuz about 85% make it through basic training so if your in decent shape you should be fine.
Anyone can get into the USMC. Silly Irish
