Traveling to Carcassonne in July? Advice & Tips appreciated!!?

Hello,

I am traveling from Ireland to The Languedoc in July with my Husband and our two children.

We hope to visit Carcassonne during our travels, and have heard that Carcassonne have brilliant celebrations and Firework displays etc on the 14th of Julyto celebrate Bastille Day.

On looking through Tourism websites for Carcassonne I see no mention of any celebrations at all for the 14th July?

Am I mistaken or is there in fact fireworks and celebrations in Carcassonne on Bastille Day?

Also, Are there actual Hotels inside the walls of the Cite or is everything situated outside?? Can you recommend a good hotel for sightseeing?

I am very confused by all the facts I am reading!

Thank you!!Traveling to Carcassonne in July? Advice %26amp; Tips appreciated!!?
All the towns and cities in France have firework displays on Bastille Day. The larger the city the more impressive the display.

The following website will provide you with all the information you need, both onn the fireworks and other interesting things happening in Carcassonne in july. (and there is a lot!)http://www.carcassonne.org/carcassonne_E鈥?/a>

As to hotels, I usually look them up in trip advisor, they not only have excellent info, but they also have reviews and comments by people who have been to the places, I think the ';Le Donjon Les Ramparts'; hotel inside the walls is probably what you would be interested in. Here's the link:

You'll have excellent beaches nearby, all along the mediterranean coast from the spanish border onwards, and lots of places worth a stop to visit. All depends what you are looking for. If you enjoy art, there is the Toulouse Lautrec museum in ALBI, near Toulouse.

Enjoy your visit France is a beautiful country!

Take something like Vic nasal ointment or Chanel No 5 to apply to your upper lip. The place smells like an open sewer in high summer.

Just gone through ivf, am doing 2 week wait, anyone got any tips, or advice?

The two week wait is long. I found the best way to get through it was to stay busy. I drowned myself in my work during the day and in the evenings I spent time with friends or shopping.

I had tried to prepare myself for failure. After dozens of fertility treatments, I was used to negative results. So I decided to begin researching our next option, adoption. I checked out websites and chat rooms. I bought a few books and read up on the process. That way, I was prepared.

Good Luck and I hope the best for you!!!Just gone through ivf, am doing 2 week wait, anyone got any tips, or advice?
its a long procedure hs failure rates jst dont get upset n let depression set inJust gone through ivf, am doing 2 week wait, anyone got any tips, or advice?
im doing the 2 week wait too. i do test on the 21st. the wait is killing me. i hope that it works for you i will keep my fingers crossed. just try to keep busy and not think about it ( i know its hard) good luck. hopefully it will be good xmas present. if it doesnt work just try try again
Just would like to say good luck, we'll be doing the same in the next couple of months.
The waiting is really hard, isn't it? People who haven't been through infertility and treatments just don't get it. Do you have some girlfriends that you could go out with -- to the movies or the nail salon. This is a great time to have other help distract you from the wait.

Nose Piercing? Tips? Personal Expierence? Advice?

so, next year i will have graduated 8th grade and i'll be 13. i already called the piercing place.... they said it would be fine if both my parents came with me....

So where's the best place to buy nose studs/rings? What are the different types of nose accessories? what are some precautions i should take?

p.s. go fly a kite if your here to tell me i'm too young!

i'm planning to get it on the side of my left nostrilNose Piercing? Tips? Personal Expierence? Advice?
If you want something really nice go to a jewellery store, they usually have nice ones with stones in them at regular prices. I worked at a jewellery store and they have alot of different ones, like snakes and the eyes were diamonds (that was about 59.95 tho) it just depends, also make sure you like it before you buy it because they don't have returns on body piercing jewellery.Nose Piercing? Tips? Personal Expierence? Advice?
That's actually quite exciting that you'll be able to do that!

Personally, I believe the best places to go for buying studs and rings are the piercing studios because they take extra care to make sure they're only selling the highest quality metals for their jewelry. This matters quite a bit. Granted, you might pay a little bit more here, but most places have a good variety and it's worth it.

I would say to avoid Claire's or The Icing because they sell cheaply made jewelry and I've heard many stories about bad experiences with jewelry (body jewelry included) from those places.

Make sure you know (and remember) what gauge your piercing is when you get it. That's something you'll have to know later when you go to purchase jewelry.

Oh! If you want easily changeable jewelry, go for a stud because most rings cannot/should not be changed at home.

For studs, there are different styles as to how they attach or sit in your nostril. My sister has a stud and she has found she likes the ';screw'; style, but it's really a personal preference.

Good luck!
only allow the professional to pierce it. only hurts the first day but may be a little red for a bit longer. he should give you a paper with care instructions. usually gently washing area a couple times a day after its done is about it. DO NOT change out the nose ring for one of the store ones until it is completely healed, usually a few weeks. when they first pierce it, they will probably use a curved loopy type ring it stays in better. once it heals you can get the silver ones at claires or shops like that. there are studs which are just the stick with a little gemstone or something cute, but nothing on the inside of the nostril. i usually get the 3 pack of cheap stud noserings from walmart. the stones will fall out even on the expensive ones. dont waste money on the clear plastic retainer pieces, a centimeter of fishing line works if you have to take out the ring for school or anything.
I'm not going to tell you you're too young, but flying a kite sounds like fun. Anyway, keep it clean (both sides), don't over clean it (two to three times a day is sufficient), don't play with it, be mindful of it when you blow your nose. That's all stuff your piercer will tell you.

Oh, one important thing, make sure it's there when you wake up in the mornings! I know that sounds stupid, but I've woken up with it half out or completely missing and didn't notice until hours later.

Don't buy nose jewelry in claire's or icing. They're cheap and (i may just have sensitive skin) they made my nose itch a lot. I, personally, prefer the screws to the studs. They all look like little jewels in your nose, but, if I'm not mistaken, the screws are bars that are bent or curved and the studs are just shorter bars with a ball on one end. I think the screws feel more secure.
most malls have body jewlery places

and stuff but i think you can just use an earing

or the peircing place might have them
if yer a chick....

if its really small its really cute

it cant be big at all or else its pretty ugly

make sure its no where as big as yer ear rings

if yer a guy....

i dunno

=P
i find nose rings distasteful but the studs are cute
my mom got a nose ring- what i can say it didnt go well
I had mine done when I was fifteen. You can buy pretty much any studs/rings at the parlor... and I definitley recommend that! DO NOT go to some store like Claire's to get body jewelry. It often makes people get infections, etc. Just ask your piercer when you go. You will be able to pick what kind of jewelry you want. I would advise you to get a stud without the back on it. It's too painful and difficult to get one that you have to put a back on. Check out the links below... they show pictures of the stud/rings I would recommend.

Good Luck! I hope you like it.

P.s.

When you get your nostril pierced almost EVERYONE gets a wierd little bump around the piercing. This is just your skin trying to push the piercing out and heal. For this, you need to get Tea Tree Oil. This oil will take the bump away and heal it correctly.

If you have any other questions.. you can just ask me. : )

I can only answer your SAT part as I am going through admissions as well. I know that Gtown requires three SAT II so you will need to take two more of those. I think your SAT are fine and should probably be good enough for Gtown.

Can anybody give me fashion advice/tips on the boho look?

Please could somebody give me some advice and fashion tips on how to create the boho look. I am 15 years old and i have shoulder length brown hair and side fringe (if this helps!). I live in the UK so I can't shop in american shops so if you send links please could you make sure that they are for UK shops such as New Look, Topshop.. ect..

If you have any ideas for hairstyles and accessories please feel free to add those in aswell! (my hair is straight and quite thin).

Thankyou (: xCan anybody give me fashion advice/tips on the boho look?
Well I'd say clothing wise wear like loose/flowing floral print tops/dresses which are in quite like muted tones, stay away from bright colours and opt for darker colours in general.

e.g.

http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores鈥?/a>

Topshop are generally very good for floral prints

For the bottom I would say

-Thick woolen tights in a neutral colout such as black, navy, brown or even a dark green. these could be worn with like a longer top/dress depending on how confident you are with your shape.

-If you want to wear the tights with a shorter top you could team it with dark wash denip shorts e.g. http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores鈥?/a>

- Another option is dark wash denim, I would say skinnies look best with more flowing top but flared can also be very boho so whichever you feel most comfortable in.

Shoe wise i would say that slouchy ankle boots are quite boho, higher boots are also nice though and sometimes better for when it gets cold. I would say that leather or a brown leather effect looks best.

http://www.peacocks.co.uk/Womenswear/Foo鈥?/a>

The most boho boot on the other hand is the fringed ankle boot.

http://www.dorothyperkins.com/webapp/wcs鈥?/a>

for summer -http://www.asos.com/Jessica-Simpson/Jess鈥?/a>

bracelets and necklaces are nice in wooden varieties or in a gold/brass colour.

Gillets/waistcoats are also rather boho and are good for winter.

http://www.asos.com/Vero-Moda/Vero-Moda-鈥?/a>

http://www.asos.com/Ay-Not-Dead/Ay-Not-D鈥?/a>

Hair wise boho is usually quite hassle free and natural, although as you have straight hair i would say maybe wet it before you go to bed and plait it, then sleep on the plaits that way you will get wavy hair which is quite boho. Also plaits like a french plait at the front of the hair or two smaller plaits fromt the front pulled back and cliped together at the back of the head is quite cute.

Fringed bags, big bangles and long necklaces all add to that boho look too:

Just look at any pictures of Sienna Miller from about 4-5 years ago. She should point you in the boho direction...

  • Presentation tips and advice?

hi everyone i have a presentation on tuesday where the teacher will be asking me questions and i am not one to answer questions at the top of my head

any tips on how not to blush or stutter and look stupid in front of the class

im a freshman in college and this is for my english classPresentation tips and advice?
These are tips for people who stutter all of the time; maybe they will help you.

    Tips for doing a presentation

Know your subject matter really well and practice reading to your dog or just out loud to yourself ahead of time.

Look over the heads of the class at a point on the wall in the back of the room. The class will think you are looking at them, and the teacher will think you are looking at your audience.

Don't notice any reaction from the class. Their reaction doesn't matter, but it might make you feel more nervous.

Concentrate on what you are saying rather than how you are saying it.

Don't try to keep from stuttering as that will make you stutter more. If you stutter, just let it happen.

    Maintain a steady pace, not too fast, and don't get in a hurry to ';get it over with.';

Speak in a relaxed manner and pause every so often.

Start into words easily keeping your lips, tongue, and jaw relaxed.

Advice or Tips needed please, i had really bad ...?

acne when i was younger. Im over it now and my skin is nice and clear and healthy. Unfortunately i have been left with scaring from the spots. I am very concious of this. What are my options and how much does it cost for one of those chemical skin peels? Thanks in advance for any advice :-))Advice or Tips needed please, i had really bad ...?
Try going to your dermatologist and getting microdermabrasion. I'm going to have to do that to once my face finally decides to clear up.Advice or Tips needed please, i had really bad ...?
i have had microdermabrasion 3 or 4 times now, its great. really cleared up my skin. it drys your skin out alot, but if you exfoliate for the next few days youll be right. they tell you all that stuff anyway. youll be red for about half hour afterwards, but it goes away.

it costs around $110, but it is well worth the money, trust me.

its no good spending your life being ashamed of your face, or trying to cover it with make up when you can spend $110 to get it really cleared up. it does so much for your confidence, i really recommend it.

if you cant afford it, just remember not to squeeze, and to clean morning and night :) and remember its whats on the inside that counts. i know alot of people will say this, but i know what its like to feel like you look horrible all the time, i went through alot of tears and frustration because of it, but now its great.

    it can be fixed :)

hope you sort out your problem, let us know what you decide to do :)

Can anyone please give me an advice or tip to earn money faster in restaurant city on facebook?

Can anyone please give me an advice or tip to earn money faster in restaurant city on facebook?

I'm only level 4 and i almost don't know anything about playing this game -__-Can anyone please give me an advice or tip to earn money faster in restaurant city on facebook?
The link below might help you. :)

http://forum.playfish.com/showthread.php鈥?/a>Can anyone please give me an advice or tip to earn money faster in restaurant city on facebook?
I discovered a couple earn money faster tricks, hope it helps:

    1) If you decided to close the restaurant and take a break, go to decorations, move something (like the mail box) in front of the door. Go back to the restaurant and exit out without letting employees to go to rest. When I log back into Facebook at a later time, I realized my employees are tired, but I was able to earn $2000.

    2) Click on the trees around the restaurant when you log into the restaurant mode. Some trees will give a dollar at a time.

    3) Pick up trash and it gives you money.

    4) Just the usual stuff which is to sell meals~

    Hope it helps.
Your people in RC are always working, even if you are not playing the game. Going back periodically to give your players food to boost their energy is good also. Depending on how many people you have working in your restaurant, you need to have proper seating and cooking supplies. I have (4) people working in my restaurant and 1 stove and 1 hotplate. 2 people coking and 2 people serving. and 8 tables. I make over 2000 in a day doing it that way...hope this is somewhat helpful.
It's all about efficiency, you should surround your cookers with tables and have your waiters within the square/rectangle, this allows you to make more money because your waiter will not have to travel a long distance and more customers can be served.

    General rule 1 cook/ 3 tables

Can you give me some advice/tips for a first date?

    I'm super nervous.

I met a guy a week ago at a party, and have been talking to him online and on the phone almost every day since. We have a lot in common and I really like him. But tomorrow, we're actually seeing each other again. I am going to dinner with him, two of his friends, and two of my friends. It's not a super fancy place, it's like a mexican sports bar place. Since we've been talking so often, most of the regular first date questions like ';where do you work'; have already been asked.

Anyways, can you please give me some advice? I've never been on a date with someone that wasn't already my boyfriend, so I'm super nervous. And PLEASE give me something more than ';be yourself';. Can you give me some advice/tips for a first date?
Take a conversation starter / lifter... something funny like a game to play or something funny to discuss - it'll help to set a light, fun mood and introduce some laughter which will help to break the ice.

Can you give me some advice/tips for a first date?
    1. Don't talk about past relationships

    2. Don't take the date to seriously, make it casual

    3. Don't talk about other girls

    4. Focus the conversation on getting to know him more, the basics (family, work, etc.)

    5. Leave him wanting more

Just relax, take a deep breath and be yourself :)

    Good luck.
Act normal. Don't over do it, and don't be shy. Treat him like a girl friend, if that helps you not be nervous. Good manners and politeness will go a long way. Don't force any questions, but if you are genuinely curious, ask away.
Honestly just relax, go out there and have fun. He will be the one grilling you with questions so just go with it and listen to what he says and give him questions on that.
You are supposed to go with a male chaparone like a dad or brother or uncle
make sure your breath doesnt smell cause thats a major turn off.

dont try to hard to impress him. be urself

dont be too shy = then he might not think u dont like him

Molly's are having babies- advice & tips please!?

    Hi All,

I woke up today to about 10 extra fish in my 30l tank, albiet extra tiny ones!

We have 4 white and 4 black mollys, i assume they were preganant when we got them about a week ago as they have already popped!

So, i have bought this box for them, that sits in the water, you put all the babies in so that the other fish dont eat them - saying thatby the time i get home today, i think most will have been lunch.

Howvere, a few of the otehr fish look pretty ready to pop, i know they are 'chubby' fish anyway, but a few of thier bellies look huge!

Im look for a way to identify who is pregnant, and who is female/male- i dont think i have room for 20more babies!

Also, any advice forthe little ones/how to stop the adults breeding?

Many thanks!Molly's are having babies- advice %26amp; tips please!?
I use the breeding trap/floating tanks with my mollie babies and theyve all done fine so i wouldnt worry too much about that.. okay

You will NEVER get them to stop breeding as long as they're in the same tank. They mate all the time, and its safe to say that female mollies can pretty much always be pregant because they can hold sperm inside her and fertlize her eggs again after she's given birth. So if you separate them, your females are likely to carry on giving birth for months...

Mollies are some of the easiest fish to distinguish the different sexes.

Your Males will have a gonopodium, which is the fin on his back by the way. It is very very large compared to the females and is sometimes dotted, which you can see when he expands it, for fighting off competition and impressing the girlies!!!

Their anal fin, if it is actually classed as a fin, is thin and folded and looks like a teeny little arm with no hand cos they flap it about a bit when they get near the rear end of a female and i suppose it kind of like a penis!!!

An easy way to spot if a mollie is pregnant, look for a dark spot near her anal fin, this is called a gravid spot and usually gets bigger as she moves through her pregnancy, although unfortunatley with black mollies you wont be able to tell.

They're probably pregnant again already, so keep a look out for the females getting even fatter with shadowy heavy looking tummies, and lingering around plants if you have any, they seem to like to give birth around plants... If you notice things like this place her in a different tank or LARGE breeding trap, not too small she may stress and die.... but if you do this, you're more likely to have more than 10-20 babies, try 60-100....

If you don't want babies, separate the sexes, or just let nature do its thing and let them eat them and you might even get a couple of lucky ones...

Yes they were pregnant when you got them, my mollies gestation period is usually 3-4 weeks...

Good Luck and congratulations on your babies!!! XXXXMolly's are having babies- advice %26amp; tips please!?
well I will do my best to help you I would say the brighter fish are the females if they get chubby I would say seperate them this is one way you can tell they want to mate many bubbles at the top of water well I hope all goes well I hope my advice helps.
Hello, it can be hard to tell who is pregnant on mollies. The only way that has worked for me is to see who is fat before you feed them. On some fish it can be easy, you look for the gravid spot, but sometimes the molly's coloration can get in the way. The gravid spot is a darker spot right behind her belly above her anal fin. When the spot is large, she is close to popping.

Telling males from females is pretty easy- Males have a pointy anal fin that they hold pretty close to the body most of the time. Males usually have a larger top fin, and can tend toward iridecent coloring. Females have a larger rounded anal fin that they leave hanging out from the body. I have seen some females that like to hold their anal fin close to the body, but several minutes of close observation should be enough to see her drop it so you can see the shape.

The only way to stop livebearers from breeding is to get rid of all of the females or all of the males. If you are concerned about room, you can just leave the fish in the main tank, and the adults will eat the fry.

I like the little plastic breeding pens, I use them pretty frequently. The only thing you have to watch is the air at the top- make sure it is not submerged, and that there is air below the lid. If there is no air for the fish, the fry will all have swim bladder problems and most likely die. (They won't be able to float.) A fish can live like that for quite a while, and I have had fry almost make it to adulthood, but they always die. As long as there is air below the lid, it is fine. The fry can live off of crushed flake food.
Yes it is true, breeders traps are far to small for fry to live in! Just go to the pet store and get lots of fake DENSE plants. These will float unless you bury the fake roots into the ground. To stop them from breeding you should separate the males on one side of the tank and females on the other, separate them with a divider. once the babies are big enough, you can sell them to a pet store if you don't have room to keep them.
The only way to stop them from breeding is to separate them. I think you should put the fry in another tank if possible. I dont know why it would be hazardous!? I doubt they will al be eatin, but if you dont have cover for them or places for them to hide then they might be. They mean by the top water cover or however they said it was that you can get plants that float. They want you to get some of those plants that float instead of putting them in a fry trap.

Being induced on Sunday! Any advice, tips etc.?

I'm being induced this Sunday at 3pm, OMG! I can't believe it! Someone told me not to eat because then I might poop on the table BUT seriously? It's going to be at 3pm so I would go without food all morning and afternoon and then I would be in labor and I can't eat while in labor either, right? So I should eat something right? Lol, I don't wanna poop but I don't wanna starve either! Anyway, I'm nervous but excited too, any tips or advice from other Mommies? Thanks!Being induced on Sunday! Any advice, tips etc.?
Since pushing to deliver and pushing for a poop are sorta the same its possible, but remember they are all medical professionals and it will simply be cleaned up and you probably will never even know. I would eat before you go to the hospital because you do not know how long labor will last. Also remember during labor you can have ice chips, suckers, hard candy, and sometimes (if you have a nice nurse) popsicles.Being induced on Sunday! Any advice, tips etc.?
you should definitely eat. it takes a while for them to get everything set up and for the contractions and everything to start. so you will have time to go to the bathroom. i was induced with my first and had plenty of time before anything started. plus, i would rather go during labor than to be starving the entire time lol. and if you do go, you probably wont even know it and you definitely wont care.

    *congrats btw!
i got induced with both of my kids. thanks to god it was the best experience ever. i was worried about going into labor at a weird time of day or middle of the night, but babies just did not wanna be born on time. i liked the fact that everything was planned. (arrange baby sitting if needed) take a shower, pack your bag and go to hospital. I took the epidural before i even got induced, so no pain. my doctor knew my pain tolerance level was less than zero :)) u cant eat 12 hours before induction, and you do starve, but the ice chips they give you help alot with the hunger. They say its normal to have a bowel movement during the pushing.. doctors expect it, plus you'll be too busy to even think about it... or even feel it if you get the epidural.

hope this helps.. have an easy and painless labor.
there is no right or wrong way to do this, if you are hungry eat if you are not dont! dont panic this is a wonderful thing try to relax, and just so you know i ate 2 hr's before i went into full on labour, i was sick but i didnt poop on the table as long as u relax it is not a problem, (plus the midwifes are trained to sort this out and make it as discreet as possible!) GOOD LUCK!
You WILL have to eat as you will need the energy. Sometimes they give you an enema to avoid the pooping situation, but I guarantee you, you will not be caring about poop when you're pushing your baby out.

Try (although it won't be easy) to get plenty of sleep and a good high carb meal beforehand. I swear it'll help.
    Oh wow!!! congratulations!!

I was induced too 'coz my water broke and they wanted to speed things up.

My doctor advised me to eat something before they started with the pitocin 'coz once they start it, you can't eat. Trust me, you would need a lottt of energy for later...

But go easy on the food...nothing too oily or heavy...I had some chic noodle soup and a veggie burger... u can have sthing similar...

I had the same concern that I might poop..but when i asked my doc tht...she said i need not worry abt tht...and most ppl poop while pushing and they clean it off and not to think abt it...

So good luck for ur delivery!! and congratulations...
When i went to my induction they told me not to get after 8 the night before good luck and congrats Dont worry about pooing thats the last thing youll be thinking about. trust me after 2 kids all my husband can think about is what it looks like when the baby comes out lol
Their doctors. They see bodily fluids and wastes all the time. Its part of their job. For yours and the baby's sake get a good breakfast and lunch in. Then a snack before you go so that you will have plenty of energy. You don't want to be miserable with pain AND hungry.
just eat something light...I couldn't eat...early labor was rough on me and I didn't feel like eating...if you poop you poop...it happens and they are used to it. do not starve yourself so you don't poop..you need your energy for pushing!
I'd eat personally but otherwise just try to relax. The more relaxed you can keep yourself and your environment the easier things will be...at least that worked for me. Good luck.
People poop. It's not a big deal. Doctors see it all the time and you don't even notice it when you are in labor.
eat. you will need your energy and poop will happen weather you eat or not. The dr is used to this and will just clean it up. You wont even know it has happened
    uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Pretty much everybody poops while they are pushing, it doesn't matter if you haven't eaten in 24 hours, you still have stuff in there. The nurses remove it as it comes and we are totally used to it (and we usually don't make a face either). Eat a medium sized breakfast, try to make it fibery like bran flakes and fruit and have some protein too like one or two eggs (try to eat about mid morning - 10ish). Typically you don't get to eat during labor (unless you have a slow form of induction, then they might let you have something light). You don't want to go into induction starving, you'll need the energy to deal with the contractions and to push.

The type of induction you have makes for different types of advice needed. If you need to have your cervix ripened (because it isn't soft or slightly opened), you'll probably get some form of prostaglandin either as a vaginal suppository or taken orally. I don't have any experience with the oral, but if it's vaginal suppository, it could take up to 12 hours before you are in active labor, then start Pitocin in the IV to augment it. If you are already opened a bit and just need an extra push to move things along, you'll get Pitocin in the IV. Depending on how responsive your body is, you could go very fast or you could take several hours (especially if this is your first). Just know going in, that once they start induction, it does not mean you will deliver very soon (it does happen very fast sometimes, but not always), so be patient with the process and try to not get frustrated.

Don't feel any shame if you need pain medicine or want the epidural. Natural labor is painful enough, but induction is even more so because you are pushing yourself into it. Usually if you are not opening, it's because you are in pain and therefore tense, once you take something for pain, you'll relax and open up. The pain medicine will NOT completely take away the pain, it will help you to relax and cope with it better and maybe even sleep in between contractions. The epidural makes you completely numb from just below the rib cage down, so pretty much no pain, but you should still be aware of the pressure of the baby's head coming down; this is good, it'll help you to know where to push when it's time.

Best of luck and congratulations on being almost done!

  • Paris in April 2007. Any advice, tips, suggestions, etc?

I'd appreciate any serious input on my future trip! Thanks!Paris in April 2007. Any advice, tips, suggestions, etc?
    Paris is a great place..

your must-sees (at least to me)

    Jardin Luxembourg

    Lourve

    Sacr茅-Coeur (Montmarte)

    Notr茅-dame

i feel that Paris is best explore on foot, however it is convenient taking the m茅tro, be careful though of pickpockets and snatch thief in the train station or on the train. (this got to take note)

hope you enjoy ur trip.. the website below offers quite useful info : http://www.parisinfo.com/Paris in April 2007. Any advice, tips, suggestions, etc?
I was there not too long ago.

Definetly an awesome place to go.

    Notre dome.

Eiffel tower. (go up to the top. It's definetly a great view of paris)

Take a river tour in paris. Great sights and if you do it in the early evening you see the tower lit up, its beautiful.

Louvre. Spend some time here. The ceilings and paintings are amazing and one day isn't nearly enough....it's huge!

Sacre coeur cathedral. by far the best cathedral.

Take the metro. It's faster than by foot.

Also the catacombs are pretty cool. Definetly go with someone who speaks french so they can translate the enscriptions on the walls though.

The arc de triumph is pretty neat.

and shopping on the champs alyssee is awesome too. it has all the designer shops.

On top of everything, take lots of pictures and do as much as you can.
Oh my, too many things to see...

    Pompidou Centre

    Musee D'Orsay

    Arc d'Triomphe

    Sacre Cour

    Tour Eiffel

and of course Jim Morrison's grave

Metro is very very convenient, although the city is beautiful on foot! Metro tickets are sold down in the metro stops, and major stations also sell museum passes, so if you're planning on seeing a lot of museums this is definately worth it. It covers entrance fees to most of the Paris museums.

Hope you have a fantastic trip!
You're going to love Paris! If this is your first time, I would suggest purchasing one of those ';Top Ten'; tour guides before going. Definitely go to all the major sites...the Louvre, Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower, etc. I would also suggest spending an afternoon in Montmartre near Sacre Coeur...it's beautiful there, and there are lots of street performers and delicious creperies!

Also, check out the Musee d'Orsay. It's smaller than the Louvre and boasts an unbelievable impressionist exhibit.

The Pantheon is also amazing...if you go there, hit up the Jardins de Luxembourg as well.

IF you have time, I would highly recommend spending a day at Versailles. I was just there this summer (it was my 6th visit), and we spent the entire day wandering around the gardens on bicycles. It was so much fun!

Also, another interesting side trip would be to go to Giverny (about 2 hours away...you can access it by train/tour bus) where Monet lived. Gorgeous!

I hope you have an amazing time...I'm excited for you! Bon voyage!

Pet mice..... and any other advice/tips?

    Hi,

I have a friend who is getting pet mice, how often do they breed and how much babies do they have? My friend was just wondering.

Because she may breed them, any tips on breeding?Pet mice..... and any other advice/tips?
Mice are fertile every 3-4 days. Are pregnant for 20-21 days. And are VERY fertile as soon as they give birth so if you keep the male and female together she will most likely have a litter every 21 days or so as long as both are interested in breeding.

~Awww thats sweet! Haha i remember me and my friends did that when we where younger and we let the mice go. We just let them loose at a park. LOL

~Thats cool. If you don't mind me asking what are they breeding them for? just curious.

~ Oh thats good. A Mice Breeder, thats different :) lol. hopefully that never has to happen. Spotted python wow there beautiful!Pet mice..... and any other advice/tips?
DONT BREED. There are a lot of mice outthere that need homes as it is. Besides, mice they sell at snake food stores come from breeding mills and dont have good genetics....which puts mom AND babies at risk for health issues or dieing young (even as pinkies).

Not to mention that mice can have up to 20 babies and go into heat again and can get pregnant again within 24 hours of giving birth...so do the math there. PLUS they MUST be separated by sex by the age of 4 weeks old you'll have even more mice. AND male mice, once they hit young adulthood should be kept alone as they will fight...sometimes to death.

And finding proper homes for mice is not as easy as you'd think. Take it from someone who deals with rodent rescue.
Mice smell pretty badly i suggest getting a rat!!
    I agree with the person who said 'DONT BREED!';

We'll i'd say that mice are lov
    theyre so cute./

    Physics tips and advice please....?

Now for physics test problem i do these:

    1) Convert everything to SI units

    2) Read the problem and remember the formula

    3) Find out what the stupid question is asking for

    4) Use the formula and calculate 2 times, once for the numbers and the other for the units.

    5) Stick the numbers and the SI units together

    6) (Optional) convert it to the unit the paper is asking for...

How do you make these easier? :(Physics tips and advice please....?
There probably isn't any shortcut that doesn't involve practice I'm afraid! The only steps that experienced scientists probably won't use are the two separate calculations in step 4 - it is just a matter of familiarity (or they cheat and use spreadsheets/computer programs!).

Perhaps if you include the units with your numbers in step 4 you can use the same calculation for both units and numbers and eliminate step 5.

As you become more familiar with the calculations, you will probably start to remember what the units are in any case. When you convert everything to SI units, if you use the same units everytime (e.g. grams instead of kilograms), you will always have the same units at the end.

A simple example - if you always work out velocity using metres and seconds your velocity units will always be m/s.Physics tips and advice please....?
    list every given you have

This makes it easier to know what equation you're finding and to organize yourself in finding the equation if used in combination with step 3

Draw a picture. This is often helpful

My husband is fat so it is hard to have sex. can some one give some tips or advice please?

It is hard for my husband yo loose wheaight because he is busy all the time with work and other things. So its hrad for me to enjoy it because I am always the person to be on top because he is fat. and when he is on top some times it is hard for me to breth. what can I do?My husband is fat so it is hard to have sex. can some one give some tips or advice please?
doggy style maybe best. Also when he is on top he shouldn't put all his weight on you....he can be on top w/o doing this. One position you could try is this... lying on your back, pull your knees up to your chest, he can hold onto the backs of your thighs while penetrating you. You can also lay on your side and lift one leg up, allowing him entry that way. All these positions make him an active participant and burn tons of calories too!!!My husband is fat so it is hard to have sex. can some one give some tips or advice please?
all i know is forr every 35lb a man loses he get a 1'; where it does good
On the side you can hook up with me! then when you guys have sex think of me, and you will enjoy it every-time.
    Get on top!
Be truthful with him. Tell him you love him and are attracted to him, but his weight is an issue. Let him know you are willing to assist him in loosing weight.
see me at my house and i will tell you
Suggest a healthy diet. Do you cook for him? Also, try joining a gym, make time in your busy schedules as his health is important. If nothing else you can work out on the weekends.
tell him to do some plastic surgery lipo-suction and face reconstruction. Get some counseling as well:)
Get him to cut out fat and sugar and to stay away from excessive servings of carb, and no junk food except maybe once a week. Start him off walking and biking, then maybe some golfing, croquet, racquetball, yoga, swimming, canoeing and other activities. Housework is also good, along with moving furniture and gardening.
start feeding him healthy food and tell him to lay

    off the junk
Roll his azz halway off the side of the bed so all that fat can role back on him and just ride him...LOL

    or

hey cut his azz off until he looses weight walk around in booty shorts and tank tops to motivate him but don't give him any...LOL
No, I won't give you advice. No one can help you but yourself.
He needs liposucion but oinly fter he's lost some weight via liquid diet. He;s heading for an early grave and should join Jenny Craig.
Doggie style, or he lays on his side and you lay on yours with your back to him. both are easy and fun.
Put your husband on weight watchers or something.
    fake it
okay what ya do is you go on a diet because if you go on a diet everything in the house will be very healthy so he'll have to go on one without him even knowing it !! also get a dog or if you have one ask him to take the dog for a walk ( with you of course) just say you need him to come with you cuz its scary walking by yourself.so then he's eating healthy and walking .
poor tracy you need to stay on top,if not one day you just might not catch your next breathe.so sorry for you.
TELL HIM HE HAS TO FIND TIME TO GET SOME EXCERCISE IN BETWEEN HIS WORK %26amp; OTHER THINGS IF HE WANTS TO PLEASE U. OR TELL HIM U'L START GETTIN FAT

IT'S GOOD TO STAY HEALTHY ANYWAY!
how about doggstyle.or side ways...he cant crush you like that...or what about standing up.you bent over and him from behind....or how about him picking you up against a wall...(you can sit on his belly).....just some ideas....or better yet...lock up the fridge so he cant get in it.that'll help him get on a diet.
speak to him, tell him how you fell and that he has to do something abt his weight. Play hard-to-get and don't let him have sex till he starts doing something abt it
Not to be crass but there is always ';doggy style'; And if you cook good food at home maybe he can lose some weight!
You must talk to him about it.

Sex is a crucial thing for a couple to live a exciting, bonding life.
Try going out with him to work out with him it will motivate him. GOOD LUCK GIRL!
you lying on a table and he standing.
    Bleh.

Tel him how you feel kay?

    Tell him for once you wanna b on the bottom and tell him to start eating healthy. i know its hard, but be easy on him and try not to sound like '; hey get thin or im leaving you!'; he might say'; Oh you should respect me for who i am and not how i look';

    but hey!

    It hurts!

    Good luck

Hi i have a 17 months old son and ive been trying to ween him of his soother any advice or tips ...please!?

my sisters told my nephews and nieces that they were getting too big for the soother and that this year santa would be expecting them to give it to him as they are getting big to recieve big girl and boy presents for that year so that christmas they would leave the soother under the tree for santa to take. it worked like a dream for them and it gets the child used to the idea of getting rid of it over the following months as it gets closer to chrismasHi i have a 17 months old son and ive been trying to ween him of his soother any advice or tips ...please!?
start by only having him use it at bed time or nap time. this is what we did. Then, after he turned 2 we talked a lot about him being a big boy, and one day we decided to tell him we ';forgot it'; at grandpa's house. after two days he stopped asking. Just get rid of all of them incase he would find one!Hi i have a 17 months old son and ive been trying to ween him of his soother any advice or tips ...please!?
I am assuming his soother is known as a pacifier. I had a friend who every night before bedtime she took a pair of scissors and cut a little piece off the pacifier. Once it got down so far her son no longer wanted it as it was too hard to keep in his mouth. She made sure there was only one pacifier in the house though. She said her son gave the pacifier up before she had cut every piece off of it. I don't know if this will work for you but it is worth a try.
I am hoping for you and them that this is not their only comfort for sleep. We began innocently using one when i was taking showers as we noticed my little boy not as settled. He used it for awhile about 3-4mths then suddenly about 8 or 9 months he spat it out gradually and never really used it again. He never went to sleep at night with it though, it was more a day comfort thing.

If it is the only comfort it is really cruel i believe to go cold turkey. I bet you have to put it back in at nights!!! Such a common thing. Try using a cot toy to help, such as the fisher price aquarium. Do your normal sleep routine but do not offer the dummy straight away, make a big but gently fuss over the new toy, turn it on, then go out as normal as if he has his dummy. If it fails, go in reassure, and try agian. On the third try offer a sipper cup of water, then give dummy after this. Gradually let the length of time you give it peter out.

I wouldnt suggest cutting pieces off any baby item as some people do, this goes against the safety guidelines for baby items. After all, when a dummy gets a tear or whole, you should replace it.

Limit gradually through the day too if used daytimes also, by lots of games to keep busy, and a sipper cup of water regularly to replace that mouthy item!!!

Be there to comfort and dont reach for the dummy for cries. Use you and the sipper cup. You could say ';wash down your owy, or saddy etc';.

Make sure your child has no access to the dummy or others unless you give it over time, they will give it up.

After all, it is you who now wants to give it up not them....

Im gonna start my freshman year in high school.

Im pretty nervous, and dont know what to expect.

Could someone help me by posting neccessary/basic school supplies i would be needing and some advices and a few tips?

Thankyouu so much.Advices/Tips for A freshman year in high school?
First. Calm down. Take a deep breath. Relax. Look yourself in the mirror and say ';I am totally cool, smart, and I have nothing to fret over.'; Upperclassmen can smell a ';scared or nervous'; freshman from a mile away and they might try to pick with you. Be confident and assertive at all times.

Stay Organized. Keep your notes, handouts, and other materials in a well organized manner. Being organized will help you make excellent grades and if your teachers are the type to take up notebooks for grading, they will really appreciate it. It also helps ease anxiety, and saves you alot of time.

    Be yourself.

If you find any extracurricular activities you are interested in, by all means find out more information and try out for them. Don't be scared. Now is your time to shine and do what you want to do. You will meet your best friends this way.

If you have plans to attend college, make sure that you start your high school career off right (3.3 at least-B+ average). If you find yourself struggling in any of your courses, tell your teacher or parents immediately so they can help you.

For school supplies...I wouldn't really bother much on the 1st day. Before entering high school, I got like a few folders, a binder, one 5 subject notebook, then the basics...And then i was told that I need about 2 folders for each class, a binder per class (and they cant share God forbid) and each class needs a SEPARATE notebook to be handed in. It was a mess, I had to go school shopping both semesters because of these stupid guidelines. As for attitude and stuff...be friendly, look nicely like you actually try in the morning, smile at everyone, talk to a few new people. i know from experience that 1 or 2 good friends in my school full of people i despise is better than nothing so find some nice friends to hang out with and have fun with!!! you'll do fine, just never let them see you sweat!

Getting married on Sept 8.06, any tips or advice on how to pull this wedding off?

we are getting married at city hall, and are thinking of having a bbq for our reception, but any hints or advice would be appreciated.Getting married on Sept 8.06, any tips or advice on how to pull this wedding off?
I assume you already have your outfit picked for the ceremony. Did you get a bouquet? You still have time to order one and a boutineer for your soon to be hubby. Are your rings sized? If that's all set, you just have to worry about the bbq reception. As far as that goes, I'd go to the dollar store and get white paper %26amp; plastic tablecloths for the tables (the plastic ones they sell there are so thin you can see thru them and the paper ones, if put down first, will block the table from showing thru). At two bucks a table, you just can't go wrong. Think about getting the tablecloth clamps because you don't want them flapping off if it's windy. I'm assuming you're wanting to keep a check on finances so rather than going with all out flowers on the tables, think about getting some of those honeycomb paper bells to use as centerpieces (use double-stick tape to keep them in place). Get bunches of daisies, pop the heads off them and scatter them on top of the tables. You can introduce color with your plates, silverware and napkins. Try finding the thin paper plates in a color you like and stack them on top of the styrofoam plates to give them more stability. (with careful shopping you can find paper that fits down inside the styrofoam and still leaves a white band around the outside - get a roll of double-stick scotch tape and put one little piece in the center). Get your plastic silverware in bulk (white will work just fine). Go ahead and take a knife, fork and spoon and wrap them in a colored napkin - tie off with white curling ribbon bow (or tulle) to make them a little pretty. Go ahead and start borrowing coolers so you can get them washed and cleaned up. Buy all the drinks you're going to serve. I'm not sure if you're having the event catered - you probably still have time to call local bbq places if you want. If you're doing it pot-luck style, go get a bunch of the clear plastic ';glass-like'; serving dishes from the dollar store so they all match. Have someone in charge day of to transfer things over. And if you've got tons of spare time on your hands (ha, ha, ha) get out there and string christmas lights all over place (or delegate this out to someone). If you want to go way out, get some potted mums (or helium balloons are cheaper - get a roll of tulle at wal-mart for about $5 and tie a big tulle bow at the base and let some tulle hang to sway in the breeze) to line the drive or bunch up at the corner where people turn and have a few scattered around in the reception. That should pull it off nicely and quick. Good luck! You're a really smart one! Enjoy your day %26amp; congratulations!!!!Getting married on Sept 8.06, any tips or advice on how to pull this wedding off?
1)Go to any bridal shows between now and then. We won so much stuff filling out ballets at the shows it was great.

2)Ebay is a great place for deals - I got my ring on Ebay, and we got great deals on pew bows and even my wife's dress.

    3) get some cheap disposable camera's for the reception. We got some great pictures at ours.
Sounds like you'll have a fun day!! Keep it simple and you'll be fine! Congrats and good luck!
Have you run out of pranks after all this while?
HAVE FUN! ITS NOT THE WEDDING THAT MATTERS..ITS THE HONEYMOON.
thats so funny..., im divorced on sept 8.06. hahahaa,, yah, uuhhmm, no tips.

    o. wait, just one, dont have elvis there.
Congratulations!!! My advice is to keep it simple. If you want to save yourself time have the food catered. If you want to save money then break out the grill. Peace and God bless.
Sounds like a great idea.........Affordable yet memorable.......Enjoy your day, dear, and congrats..........
hey, that's great! sounds good to me, and a bbq is a good idea.
Congratulations! Just remember to keep it simple, it's not about the party, but about the two people. Just make sure you have a reliable friend there snapping photos. Those are memories you want to capture on film!
Sounds good to me!!! Best Wishes!!!!!
Make sure you wear something to protect your dress. Get one of those Tide pen's, they work great!

I think the BBQ idea is great if that's how you want to celebrate your marriage and its ok socially in your world. You don't want to be remembered for being too cheap to have a formal reception if that matters to your friends and family.

Congratulations and long happy life to you both!
sounds fun first of all you wont have time any more to get it catered so ask your aunts on both sides to make a covered dish to serve everyone that you are inviting go and rent a gasaboo so incase it rains you all will be covered ask you uncles to do the bbqing for you and have your parents get coolers of drinks show up in a nice sun dress nothing to fancy and have disposable cameras sitting around just be sure to make a announce ment that they need to leave the cameras you want to get them developed also have a cd player their with cd's and ask family to bring more cd's and have a brother or cousin to do the djing get the family involved they wont mind infact they will remmeber it for ever since you asked them to help good luck and congratulations

Lip piercing? i need advice, tips, etc. thankss.?

alright, so i really want my lip pierced.

and i've gotten my ears pierced before, that wasn't too bad of pain, i was just a little light headed afterwards(im not good with needles. :p)

but, my ears got infected, 'cause my piercer was an idiot. haha.

i woke up one morning, and my ears were HUGE. like, i couldn't see each side of the earrings, the front and back of both, went completely inside my ears.

worst pain ive ever felt in my entire life.

;;%26amp;%26amp;yes, i followed all of the cleaning instructions, so idk why it got infected.

:l but i want to know what the pain of a lip piercing is like, just so i can be better prepared.

    and don't say like ';well, its gonna hurt.';

'cause i already kinda know that.

    and any advice?

like, where to go(i live in pittsburgh, know any good places around here?), cleaning instructions, what to do when im actually getting it pierced, etc.

THANKYOU :DLip piercing? i need advice, tips, etc. thankss.?
I got my lip pierced like the other day. Don't worry, it so doesn't hurt!. Ohkay if you are underage to get it yourself, you need a parent gaudian, picture id of some kind and a birth certificate.

When you are getting it done don't let the person doing it count down! just let them do it unexpectedly, it helps. But honestly it doesn't hurt, just a little sting. afterwards it swells and gets sore. And it's not easy to eat anything. For the first 2 week only drink water, no kissing, rinse with diluted mouth wash 50/50 after you eat anything. Avoid hot and spicy foods. No make up like powder and mosturiser. After you get it done try not to smile and laugh, it kinda hurts. Your lip will get swollen for awhile, don't worry. Do not touch your piercing or around it. Twist it every once and awhile so it doesn't get stuck to your healing skin, but just wash your hands with anti bacterial soap first. Avoid swimming. Just keep it clean. Ibprofen helps the swelling and pain. Don't pick at it, it's like a scab, it's healing.Lip piercing? i need advice, tips, etc. thankss.?
Don't pierce your lip :S What's the point? It doesn't look nice, it reminds me of how people would brand animals. They would put a piercing in their nose or a mark on them.

It doesn't look nice, and people, especially in the business world, won't take you seriously anymore. You can be smart and sophisticated, but the moment they see facial piercings, they won't be as likely to hire you.
well its gonna hurt a little and then it will swell up and get infected for 2 months or so the longest 3 months. it hurts most of the time so u still have to keep cleaning it. so its a big resonsibility yo take care of it. it will all be worth it in the end i did mine myself but i woulnt recomend that
well it usually doesnt look good, but it is something i would do, and i dont think it would hurt so if you want you should, and thanks for the advice

Show cob classes help, advice, tips?

I have a lovely 14.3hh mare (see pic) who I got in November last year, I really love to get into showing, show cob side of it (as you can see she is hogged feathers removed) but I never done showing before (everything else but lol)

    http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/photo.鈥?/a>

So what will be expected of us in the ring, what we I have to do

any hints tips or advice you can give on how to go that extra mile and will help us??

thanksShow cob classes help, advice, tips?
I can't see your picture as you have to be logged in, but I can tell you something for nothing - your mare will have to have good bone to get on in cob classes. A lightweight cob (which she is, as she's under 15.1h) has to have at least 8 inches of quality bone and must be able to carry up to 14 stone. You may find that your mare is quite a bit smaller than the other cobs in the ring - ';not to exceed 15.1h'; in showing does tend to mean ';full up 15.1'; but don't let it put you off; a good animal is a good animal regardless of size.

Hogged is correct, you'll have to keep her trimmed and tidy. You should wear a hacking jacket with a shirt and tie, long boots, and beige/buff breeches. To show off the shoulder you'd do well in a fairly straight cut saddle (there are some very good brands of show and working hunter saddles) it's not essential but it does improve the picture. The bridle should be quite heavy set (chunky pieces of leather) to show off her head correctly - if the leather is too fine the head can look ungainly.

A cob should have good manners with little fuss - any hot or fizzy behaviour in the ring is not on. They should be fairly level headed yet still have enough presence to attract attention in the ring. You will have to do a walk, trot and canter with the others in the class, then the judge will pull you in order of merit. You'll then have to do an individual show - in some cases you'll be told exactly what to do, in others you'll have to work the ring yourself, it just depends on the judge. In either case you need to show WTC on both reins and an extension (gallop) on one.

Cob classes can be quite hotly contested so definitely get into local level before trying your hand at any BSHA (British Show Horse Association - previously the British Show Hack, Cob and Riding Horse Association) affiliated classes. These classes are filled with top riders and producers and can be quite intimidating so do your groundwork at local level as you're new to showing.Show cob classes help, advice, tips?
She looks gorgeous, and could easily get some wins - lovely conformation.

What you will have to do in the ring depends on what kind of class you enter. I cannot give help for US, but here in UK, most ridden classes require a walk, trot and possibly canter whilst following other competitors, then an individual show, where you can do any combination of movements to show off the horse, though in local shows, this is usually just a walk trot and canter on both legs, and some circles. Individual show usually requires you to salute the judge also (!) which means performing a square halt in front of them at the end or beginning of your movements, and nod, drop one hand off the reins.

For in-hand classes, you would lead her in a show bridle, in walk and trot.

Both types of class would also require a close up examination of your horse by the judge. If she has any bumps on her legs, windgalls etc, she may not be the type for showing. She also needs to be scrupulously clean (an issue for me when I owned a piebald/paint cob!)

Some classes also require more, such as doing a round of jumps, but this will usually be stated on the info for that class, on the show leaflet (you can get adds and info on shows from local saddleries and horsey shops, as well as commercial stables and online.)

I hope that helps you some, but what I have learnt I have learnt purely through local experience in the UK, so if you live in the US or are planning on getting into very high class showing, you cant trust me on all of it!

Training a schutzhund pup? advice? tips?

Hi schutzhund trainers and handlers. a week ago i brought home my second dobe that i plan on training in schutzhund. I have a dobie i am currently training in schutzhund but unfortunately i started pretty late with her (she was over a year) and inevitably made some serious mistakes during her obedience training that have seriously hindered her ability to reach her potential. i would like to avoid doing the same with this guy. he will be going to the trainer in a few weeks when the last set of shots is finished. i am socializing him and he is doing exceptionally well. any books / dvd you can anyone can recommend for training would be great.Training a schutzhund pup? advice? tips?
You really don't want to start early with a Schutzhund dog. I mean, you can go out and dick around with some bait tracking....you can play with the tug a little bit. It's extremely easy to ';dampen'; the dogs drives by trying to rush into obedience training. Some light obedience until the dog is biting full...then hammer him with heavy obedience %26amp; tracking. The first time the dog hits a sleeve at 15-16 even 18 months, he needs to feel like he's King $hit...i want to see jute hanging out his a$$ on the very first bite. Way too many people want to have the dog constantly biting when they are too young. All that does is teach them to bite like a puppy. Dobermans aren't known for their ';hardness of nerves';...I would move slow and let him feel invincible for a while.

PS: Don't worry about Inna....she's just one of several avatars run by the same troll. I think they're running a computer program that looks for specific words in the question, then pastes in some BS answer from ehow.com. They'll pop in a real response on occasion...but not too often.Training a schutzhund pup? advice? tips?
Basic obedience and manners are skills that every puppy needs to be taught, and your Schutzhund puppy is no exception. All puppies need to learn how to behave on lead, in his crate, housebreaking, and basic manners in the house and around people. These skills are simple to teach and can be started as soon as you bring your new companion home. Place a flat buckle collar on your pup immediately and allow the pup to get used to it, eventually working up to teaching the pup manners on a lead. When working on housebreaking your puppy, be sure to take her out as soon as she wakes up, when she finishes a meal and several times throughout the day, giving the command “Potty” so that she associates going to the bathroom with the correct location. Always reward and praise your puppy when she performs well.

That's funny!'; (BTW, my ex and I are really good friends and this isn't a revenge prank.) Tomorrow I see the cousin at church. When I see the cousin, what should I say to her? I know i should know most of this from freshman year but I REALLY REALLY SLACKED!

Please helpTips and Advice for Sophemore year? (%26amp;supply list)?
1st - It is spelled sophomore. Probably the biggest spelling error ever for high school students.

2nd - Don't procrastinate. Don't wait until the last minute to get things done. Do it early and have someone look it over.

3rd - Get involved. Most teachers have discussion, so if you get involved in the discussion, you will probably enjoy the class more and learn more.

4th - Pay attention. Especially in Math.

For your English, read all the books assigned and do your papers. Have people review it for you, and make sure all mistakes are fixed.

Chemistry, pay attention, take notes, and do the labs and everything.

Geo - PAY ATTENTION. Takes lots of notes and do your assignments - don't just look in the back of the book. You won't learn if you don't do your assignments. You will do good on tests then.

Espanol - Take notes, don't use internet translator, and pay attention.

    History - Read the book!

    Photography - take good pictures.

For your notes, make sure you have a writing utensil and write neat and good.

Just pay attention, study, and do your homework. You should do well if you give it your best effort. Nobody who does their homework fails, regardless of how smart they are.

    Tips and advice on acting?

Im 19 years old i left school with realy good grades in performing arts. I didnt go to college or uni due to personal reasons obvs if i had of gone i would of carried on studying performing arts but seens as i didnt i have no idea how to get into acting. College is not an option. Acting is what ive always wanted to do i cant imagine doing anything else i love it to much so some advice or tips would be great i do understand though that it is a very hard industry to brake into but id just like some tips on what to do next. ThanksTips and advice on acting?
hello, your right acting is an exceptionally hard business to get on to, or to achieve in.

However, there are ways to increase the chance you get noticed.

For example you could do a kind of exam called LAMDA; this is a great way to show you know what our doing and how to perform prose and verse. The most important thing to remember though, is do not try, in your acting exams or auditions, to impress them. Do what feels right to you and bring your ideas to the role, and that's when they think you have talent.

There are two different types of acting that have been developed fairly recent in history:

naturelism-previous to the russian stanislavsky, all acting was overdone, however he made everything far more natural and calm, something to think about when acting on camera.

method acting- literally putting yourself in the situation your character finds themselves in.

The final thing to do is find an agency, making sure it is one which can get you in spotlight ( a book for all casting directors ).

Remember be totally yourself, and you will do brilliantly :)

    hope this helps

    And get auditioning!:

The proof is in the performing and all the best :)
    If you live near a big city, you should be able to find acting classes either online or in the local yellow pages or advertised in some show business publication such as the weekly newspaper ';Back Stage.';

If there are community theatres in your area, you can try to get some stage experience by auditioning for their upcoming shows. If there are professional theatres in your area, you can call them or visit their websites to find out if they offer acting classes. If there are summer theatres in your area, you can get in touch with them about apprentice and intern opportunities.

(My suggestions are all based on my experience with the U.S. theatre world. If you're in some other country, things might be a bit different.)
When i was young i got involved in many stage coaches etc, if you did then good 4 you, it depends entirely on how good you are really! visit starnow.co.uk there's extras for tv programmes, theatre etc for whatever you want to get involved in. Also, you might want to try an agency, but check they are good, i am in one at the moment, type in agencys - then the town where you live, and see if there are any auditions etc. If you really want to do this then you've just got to keep trying! Good Luck with the futre! :-)
The only thing you MUST NOT do is, stop believing. Never listen to anyone who puts you down. Keep at it, keep your ears to the ground, and always be involved in theatres. You never know who might be watching you!

Tips and Advice needed on whats the best way to start working out?

    -17 years old

    -Male

    -Weigh about 147 pounds

I weighted 155 just one month ago but I wanted to lose about 8-10 pounds. I wasn't fat but I wasn't lean either. I felt myself getting out of shape, so I went on a diet.

However now I want to start working out and gain muscle/weight. I got all the things necessary to achieve this. Gym, food, transportation. However, I would like some advice on how to do it. In the past I started but never was committed enough. Now, I'm sure I am. I'm willing to go workout early in the morning before school.

    -How should I start?

    -What workouts should I do?

-What should I eat? What should I eat after?

-Should I spent any money on those protein shakes/bars?

Any tips would be helpful. I just want to get it right this time. ThanksTips and Advice needed on whats the best way to start working out?
I've got to disagree slightly with the above answer - 4-6 reps of ';heavy as possible'; is good, but probably not best to START with. The weekly routine looks pretty good, but I'd recommend starting with a weight that you can do comfortably ~6-12 reps (totally depends on how you feel) for the first 2-3 weeks or so. You will likely experience a lot of soreness at first, with it becoming more manageable as you train.

As far as protein - in general, the exercise science research literature would suggest that supplementation with bars %26amp; shakes is NOT necessary to gain muscle mass. Regular food with the a diet composed of fat/carb/protein like previous answerer described should improve your muscle mass and strength to the same degree.

Unfortunately, you'll read a LOT of ads/websites/etc. indicating that you NEED their product with their particular protein shake with their particular amino acid cocktail, but the scientific data simply do not support this. By way of citing my sources here - any number of exercise physiology textbooks are available via Google books (e.g., Wilmore et al., 2008; McKardle, Katch %26amp; Katch, 2006, etc.). Tips and Advice needed on whats the best way to start working out?
4 sets of 6 reps as heavy as possible without losing form with 3 different exercises on each muscle.

    Mon- Chest

    Tue- Biceps

    Wed- Shoulders

    Thur- Legs

    Fri- Off

    Sat- Back and Triceps

This will really work and you'll see good gains.

Eat 6-8 meals a day consisting of 40% protein, 40% carbs and 20% fat. Drink a shake in the morning, one before training, one after training and before bed for optimum results.

    Tips and advice for singing/acting?

My high school is putting on Beauty and the Beast this year as the musical.

Since this is my senior year, I would like to be casted as Belle however any other female lead/role would be great as well. I kind of look like her so that's an advantage.

However, there are quite a handful of girls who have a great voice and are good actresses; all other girls have just as good of a chance as I do.

What can I do, besides practice singing, to better my chances of getting a good role?

no rude comments, they aren't needed.

please and thank you. :)Tips and advice for singing/acting?
It's all in the confidence. If you are confident, your qualities will show and the director of the play will see that in you. They will see you won't have problem being in front of people, delivering your lines without hesitation. With confidence, you will be able to have at least a decent audition, if not a great audition. If you are confident, then your voice won't be shaky, neither will your monologue. Nor will you forget your lines. To get confident, you have to know what you are doing THOROUGHLY so you don't even have to think. You'll be doing it without much - if any - hesitation! But remember, as long as you tried your best and had fun, that's all that matters! Since it is a musical, singing isn't the only thing that will get you in. Your acting is essential too, because it is musical theatre. Make sure you know your monologue thoroughly and have practiced it until you know it so well, you won't have to think of your lines (or at least not look like it). As for your audition songS, make sure you prepare at least two to sing, so you can show how determined and prepared you are. You can say, ';I have prepared two pieces...';. If you are to sing songs, I suggest two that contrast to show your range, power, and abilities/flexibility. Something like a ballade and pop, ballade and rock, or something like that. For the monologue, it would be good if you had it memorized and thoroughly practiced/known. However, two might be even better! It's all in the effort too. Good luck!Tips and advice for singing/acting?
Stage presence is more important than raw talent.

Your audition should be technically competent. That is, you need to sing on key. However, the lead role will go to the girl with most dazzling star quality, charm %26amp; charisma.

Go out there and exude spirit, confidence, passion, and love of stage.

    Electrify the audience!
try to think of ways to change up your song, like singing it different than the original artists. and dont be afraid to take risks! they will make you stand out more

    5. Try to do the most difficult chores while baby is napping.

6.Sing to baby while you are doing chores. It will keep him happy.

7.Don't try to do everything at once.Break your chores up into 15-20 minute intervals. Then spend 15 minutes with the baby.

    8. Enjoy your son. They are only babies once.If you try too hard to be the ';best mom'; you are putting to much pressure on yourself and you will be missing a lot of the enjoyment.

    9. If you don't have a slow cooker or crock pot you need to invest in one.Put the meal in the cooker in the morning and dinner will be ready when hubby gets home.On good days cook a double recipe and eat one and freeze the other. This works for most casseroles, meatloaf, speghetti sauce,etc...This is especially good on days when baby is fussy or sick.

10.At least once a month get a sitter and have a date night with your husband. This is really important.Sometimes after a couple has children they become mommy and daddy and forget how to be husband and wife.Don't let this happen.

11.Ask hubby to watch the baby every now and then so you can have girl time with family members of friends.

12.Learn to say no to people that ask for things that you don't have time to do or don't want to do.

13.Just remember if something doesn't get done today, there is always tomorrow.

I know what you mean, I have OCD and the main symptom for me is that everything has to be clean. But you have to make family time your priority. If you don't you will miss out on a lot of times that you can't get back. I am a stay at home Mom with 8 kids, if I can do it, so can you.
any time help is offered, take it! and let go of the fact that no one is going to do something the same as you, but in their own way they have done it just as well as you have.

don't forget that you are a person with her own wants and needs and they should be acknowledged and honored, even if you are the only one doing it.

most of all, live every day and enjoy it. don't get caught up in the details or the expectations, they mean nothing in the end.
10 month old is not easy to take care of but it will get easier.

Try to get outside help during this stressful time ( and it is stressful let me tell you). Ask help from Family, friends to take care of little one so you can hubby can take a break. Added stress is probably because you are with baby all day and not getting a break. I am been there and done that.

Also try to get your husband to take over more in the evenings. Share the work load and try to manage your

    time better. Meals will have to be simple and quick %26amp;

house does not have to be in perfect order.

Enjoy these times with your baby as they don't come back.

I have two children ( 10 and 12) and they have given me the most joy in my life. It is all worth it.

In the end the size of your home, how clean it is, how good your meals, size of car, fancy crap will not matter . It is the quality time, love, and happy times that you will cherish and remember.
Yup, happens. And as well, apart from giving up a tidy, organized household, you have given up the next 20 years of your life, and easily $250,000 to raise this child to age 18, with nothing extra--no braces, no symphony tickets, no travel, no private art or music lessons should this child have talent, no nada...zilch. The only thing that money buys is a full belly, some television, a computer, some games, and in hs a phone, texting, and dope.....

So, what you are doing is what you will be doing.... stepping to the plate to become the best mom you can be to a child who never asked to be born.

There are no tips, hon. Being a parent is the hardest job in the world. And expensive beyond anything you ever dreamed.
I give you KUDOS for being sucha great mom-housewife-etc. lots of women become stay at home moms and get all lazy and complain about not wanting to cook and that the work is too much for them. you're doing GREAT!!

Well, I am a mom, i go to school and i work full time... the way I manage my time is the following:

I squeeze as much of my chores during the workday- for instance, i go to the gym at my lunch hour and do my errands before or right after work. That way, when i go pick up my son, i dont have to divert from him to do my errands.

Also, I will come home Friday night and my son and I do the housework together (your baby is still too little but eventually, have him help you out at home, give him little chores and stuff)

He enjoys it because he feels like he has a job/responsibility and knows i appreciate how he helps me out. So we do all the chores Friday night. This way, we dont have to do housework over the weekend and we can do fun stuff.

As for my schoolwork,, I devote one or two nights a week, after everyone is asleep, and do my work. This way, they dont feel neglected.

I know how you feel about wanting stuff to be perfect- it just shows you care about your family and are a good mom. But in actuality, your baby and husband will appreciate you more if you spend time with then: a sinkful of dishes wont bether them.. trust me!
think about what is meaningful to you in your life...If it is a clean house or reading to your child or talking to your mother on the phone, or making love to your husband. WHATEVER it is : write those things down and prioritize them in order of most important to you....every day make time for number one on the list....try to do the other things often...but every day make time for number one...you will never feel dissatisfied. You might not have time for everything all the time anymore..let some things go...just not the important things.
Let some things GO!! You will put a wall between you and your hubby .... and baby if you don't. Learn to play in the dirt... have fun. Noone wants perfection. It makes you a ... is it.... stetson wife? I keep lists( a lot of lists!) and calenders. including what chores to do on what days. I get them done as soon as I can so I have the rest of the day to '; play'; with the babies. Relax. Life is a ride. Enjoy it. If you are to busy cleaning and organising , before you know it, your little one is 14 and has totally changed and you can't even recall when it happened. Slow down, and enjoy life :)
