on puting baby to sleepTips and advice?
I'm not sure if you're talking about in general or at night, this is my night time routine that I've used for all 3 of my girls.
*bath (use some sort of calming baby body wash/soap, lavender usually works well! johnson and johnson has come up with some good products)
*clean diaper, lotion, baby massage and pj's
*bottle/breast feed, read books
*rock a little (when my girls were really little I would rock them until they were asleep but once they turned about 8-12 weeks I would follow my routine and then lay them in their crib to fall asleep)
If you're talking about nap time:
we would usually sit in the rocker and read a few books, have a bottle or nurse and then I would lay the baby down for her nap
My girls napped well everywhere (stroller, swing, car, bouncy seat) and this was good as long as they were able to still fall asleep in their crib :0)Tips and advice?
bathe
massage
soft music
nurse/feed
dark room
baby swing
rock them 2 sleep,
change dippers before,
lay down in bed with them by watching t.v.
and them they will get tired and eventually fall asleep
When putting a baby to sleep you should try to put the baby in a swing( if you have one) and put some music on(baby music), that always calms babies. If that doesn't work try giving him his pacifier.
give baby good and comfortable place to sleep ( like soft mattress,....) then bathe baby atleast twice a day.dont put lotion, baby oil,all the time.only 1 time a day.if not baby feel very heavy of body...and uncomfortable.after bathe baby give 'gripe water' to avoid any stomuch problem and cool stomuch.tq
My 6 months old sleeps 12-14 hours a night, and has since she was three months old. All I do after her last changing and feeling, is lay her in her bed, cover her up, tell her goodnight and that I love her. I try not to excite her and she never wakes up throughout the night.
Don't always do the same thing!
If you always say rock them to sleep then one day rocking isn't going to work and then you are going to be stuck. Also don't always be home when your baby sleeps otherwise you will get trapped at home with a baby who won't nap elsewhere.
Rock to sleep, put them down alone in a dark room, walk, stroller, car, etc
Lots of good advice:
