Wow (mind the pun)....I'm so excited about starting World of Warcraft....I have just downloaded the game and am about to start.......can't wait! So all you Wow addicts like I am sure about to be in no time at all, got any advice for a noob.....damn it, i hate being a noob.....any comments welcomed :)
Does WoW have a friends list as well like Runescape, if so, if ya wanna help me out and be friends with a noob, let me know your gaming name =]I've just downloaded WoW....what's your advice, tips, tricks etc?
The best advice for that game I can offer is this:
Take your time. Hopefully any higher level friends will level alternate characters with you. The best part of the game is from level 1 - 79. Enjoy the world, immerse yourself in the game's story and lore and soak in the learning experiences and new challenges.
When you get to 80, do the same. You'll likely feel pressure to focus on equipment, loot and status, but the vanity this game can bring has potential to ruin everything in the end game for you. Have fun, its a game and its meant to be fun.
Don't listen to those people who say level as quickly as you can, you'll enjoy the game much much much more if you just have fun at your own pace.I've just downloaded WoW....what's your advice, tips, tricks etc?
A lot of people starting out in WoW have trouble getting money. The easiest way to get a lot of it is the auction house. When you pick up items make sure to take note of the color their names are. Gray items are essentially useless so sell them to vendors. Whites and Greens however can be used by someone else (if not you) in the game so sell them on the auction house.
Another thing that will boost your gold will be gathering professions. On your first character it's more profitable to just pick between herbalism, skinning or mining. Other professions where you craft things tend to burn more money for you at first than it makes you.
Everybody starts as a noob. Even the hardcore Raiders had to start somewhere. So just try to have fun as you learn. =)
Which server are you on?
Yes, Wow has a friend's list. It also has the option to join a party. I would recommend getting friendly with people quite quickly so you can join a party. That way you have help on quests.
[Edit] Haha Hons. A year ago I was so addicted that I did not sleep at all and when I ate, it was at the computer while playing.
I do not play any more. Boyfriend does not have time to play with me. Sad, I miss it.
yes wow has a friend list. i would just start playing already.
tips:
pick up everything.and sell them after. u want to have money at lower levels.
make friends fast so u can get run through instances and do the harder ones.
the auction house is your friend..u can make a lot of money here.
just grind out and try to get to lvl 80..it doesn't matter how u get there..just get there..then u can work on gearing up. meaning dont' spend crazy amounts of gold on auction house items at lower levels cuz u gain levels quick and those items will be obsolete.
FOR THE HORDE!!!!

hope you follow my advice.
