never go without a tow rope, and at least a come-along (lever-powered winch).
It takes practice and understanding, which is tough if you've not driven the Bronco much. You kind of have to know your vehicle before you abuse it.
In general, you want to try to go through in the tallest gear possible, to prevent getting stuck. Lower gears put too much power to the wheels at lower speeds, increasing your chances of digging a rut and getting stuck.
Sometimes it is appropriate to use the lower gears, but every situation is different.
