Our little chocolate lab Nalah is missing. She is 2 and 1/2 months old or so. She was in the front yard, and sense we live across the street from a park, I'm thinking she ran across the street (she's done that before) but this time somebody took her. We are heartbroken. We made signs, saying huge reward, and a black and white picture of her. My mom went to the pound to look. Now I'm feeling so helpless because it's nighttime and she could be anywhere.
Any advice/tips? Have you had a puppy/dog go missing and was safely returned or came back? Please help! Our puppy is missing! Need advice/tips!?
~report the dog to the police, call local vets, run an ad in local paper. if someone took her to sell the new owners are gonna that her in for shots. If they took her to keep they will eventually take her in for shots also.Even though she may have been take, just pray tonight that who ever took her loves her just like you do and that they take care of her.
We had a pup stolen out of our yard many years ago. Her name was buttons, a pom. she was in a fenced yard and we think some one reached over the fence and took her.30 years ago but I still remember her. Please help! Our puppy is missing! Need advice/tips!?
Sorry to hear such a young puppy is lost. However I don't understand why she wasn't in a fence or on a leash. If she was out unattended, she could very well have been stolen even.
Make up posters with a picture and a offer of a reward if you can give one. Post them everywhere it is legal to do so. Place an ad in your local paper, call animal control and shelters, and also the police, since they sometimes get calls when shelters are closed. Call radio stations and such, since they will sometimes make announcements for you. Put her food in a crate in your yard so she stays home if she comes home on her own. Good luck.
I could always get our runaways back by walking around the neighborhood, calling their name and shaking the treat box, yelling ';Come get your cookie';.
Not to beat you up, but a 2-1/2 month old pup is too young to be in your front yard -- the chance of getting parvo is too great until after her third round of shots.
it depens on who has found the pup. if someone wanted one like that or sell it then its gone and sometimes they use pups for fighting pit bulls so its not like youa re right to let the dog be alone. if you are in san antonio i have a choc lab hes 6 and need a good home hes got to be given away cause i have two dogs and my hubby just passed and he was his dog.
oh I'm so sorry to hear about your poor puppy. I know how you feel, our little Pomeranian escaped and was found wandering a very busy main road, luckily no one took her and she wasn't hurt. The people that found her rang the council and the rspca came and got her and looked after her until we found her. I hope you find her, i love labs! Good luck.
During February, there is a Silky Terrier came to my house. It was lost. I took it to my neighbor house to get some dog food. We just reported to the guard at the guard house. After a few minutes, the owner show a picture about the dog and it return home safely. I bet you need to put up some poster or something. Good Luck
oh my gosh this just made me so upset. i really hope you find her. ive never had ths happen to me but try posting things like online or something, or go around putting thngs at public areas or even in the park saying ';have you seen this dog'; or seen anyone with this dog or something. call like an animal patrol company and tell them ur dog is missing and to keep an eye out %26amp; maybe they can help!
I sincerely wish you the best of luck in finding your puppy who has the cutest name by the way. Im so sorry you have to go through this =[ i wish i could help you so muchhh. GOOD LUCK!
If you have a fence, someone may have reached over and grabbed her. People are stealing dogs from cars too since dogs can cost a lot to buy. Keep asking people if they saw her. The more you search the closer you will get to possibly finding her. Hopefully by now you have and hope you are OK. If you place a police report they can keep an eye out for you.
does she have a collar with her name %26amp; phone # on it?
if not, then keep searching. go to the park a few hours a day and call for her. drive around your town, looking in the trees %26amp; the side of the road. if she doesn't turn up in a few days, put an ad with a picture in your local newspaper. im really sorry. best of luck!
Awh I'm sorry =/
But I think the best you can do tonight is take your car and drive around and call her name!
Thats what my mom and I do when our Aussie runs off and he'll hear us scream his name and he'll jump in the car.
So please try that, and I hope you find her! I hope you stay in touch and let me know what happens :)
God bless xoxo
I am really sorry! =(. You should post her in the newspaper, on craigslist, go ask all your neighbors, keep posting pictures up of her. keep checking local shelters and pounds. My dog has run away before. Usually someone calls us to come get her because of her tags. Did she have tags on? If she did then You will have a very good chance of getting her back. I hope you find her and good luck!
You Should Report your missing dog your local shelters and also give then a photo. Don't panic! eventually she will come home or you will get a call. I should know i have a yellow lab that is always getting out but she always comes home. Good Luck.
you said somebody took her?!
that's ****ing awful.
track that dude down and kick his ***!!!
just keep lookin and you will find the dog.
sorry bout yo dog but i'm sure you'll find him. :)
i'm so sorry to hear that... i hope that some one honest finds her and turns her in because that is a very nice pup.... ask all your friends and relatives to help u look for her and keep posting signs... hope all goes well.
I'm really sorry to hear about your puppy. One of our dogs was staying at a friends house in Minneapolis and she got out. It was dark, during a storm, and she was was running down a busy road! She was found collapsed from exaustion with blistered pads on someone's porch 2 days later, poor baby. Another friend of mine had a dog that was missing for two months! I don't know what to tell you that will help you find your puppy except post flyers everywhere within at least 20 miles of your house cause whoever finds her could live on the outskirts of town. Also make sure to put an ad in the paper with her description and possibly a picture. And inform all animal shelters in the city so they all know that there is a missing lab puppy with no collar or chip. Some advice for the future - alway have your dog where a collar with tags that at least have your current phone number on it, the flea stuff isn't going to hurt it. Even if the tags somehow fall off, the collar itself should be enough to let someone know that the dog might have an owner. Also, no matter what your vet says, get your dog chipped at the first vet visit after you bring the dog home. (I raise Cardigan Welsh Corgis) We always take our puppies in and have them chipped before they go to their new homes, which is usually between 8 and 10 weeks old. Getting the chip doesn't hurt them, I have hardly ever had an 8 week old baby cry when they got their chip. You should never wait until they get altered, it is not a precedure that requires sedation, its just a big shot, and they'll have that extra security in case a situation like yours accurs. Good luck on finding your puppy, I really hope you find her. Nalah is in our prayers tonight!

I have never had my dog go missing, but my bunny did escape once for three days. She came back on her own (Yours might too!) when she got hungry. Dogs have good tracking systems. My bunny was really yuong too and she is usually in the garden al day, so yuor dog probably has an advantage because it goes outside regurally and explores. Also they can track by scenting. Those days can be SO SCARY! My advice is first drive all around town to put up the flyers (dogs CAN travel far), keep a look out around your own neighborhood (because usually they don't and stay close), make sure you alert all friends and other family members so they can keep a lookout. In the meantime try to do something productive that will keep your mind off your missing dog, but still let you be alert, like watering plants, or running around your neighborhood. PRAY! Best wishes! :-)
Oh I am so sorry about your puppy. I know the feeling. When my dogs were pups they would run off awhile and I would just panic and look for them . You are doing all the right things. When you get your dog back... and I believe you will... please... go to walmart to one of those machines that makes name tags and put your dogs name and 2 phone numbers on it where you as the owners can be reached. You can also have a chip put in your dog for identification purposes. I did the dog tag thing many years ago after I read about a lady who was in a car accident and her dog ran away because it was frightened. A number on the tag greatly increases your chances of having the dog returned. Keep checking the dog pound and knock on neighbors doors... Maybe someone has seen her...I wish you the best and will pray you find your dog.
Okay, stay calm. If you are panicked you will resolve nothing. Now some right away things to do. Call all of the local animal shelters with information such as sex, color, markings, and of course name. Did she have tags on? If she is lost these will help a lot. Make sure someone is always home to answer the phone in case it is about her. Is she microchiped? This will allow shelters to find out about her. In case she was stolen you need one VERY important thing. Proof of ownership. This can be anything from tags to a picture to papers. But make sure you can proove she is yours. Now dogs are smart and she will probably show up on your doorstep. So while she is gone, put out food and water to lure her back home. When my dog got out in a blizzard I was devistated. I was sure she would die. Ten minutes later she was at the door giving me evil looks for keeping her out in the snow too long. Don't worry. Labs love to run and play but are smart and loyal. She will soon be back in your arms safe and sound. Good luck and I will be checking in on this post so give me and update! And I am praying for you and Nalah. God will keep her safe.
