me and the husband have decided that within the next month or so we are going to TTC. i was wondering if anyone has any great helpful tips and advice about making conception quicker, and having a healthy start to pregnancy. any advice is more than welcome. thank you :]First time TTC. any great advice or helpful tips.?
1: Find a pharmacy, retailer, or purchase on line, a lubricant called Pre-Seed - it helps the sperm stay alive longer and doesn't hinder, or kill the sperm
#2: Go to Walgreen's and purchase their 20 day ovulation test strips
#3: Purchase a supply of Instead Cups - you'll find in the feminine products aisle
#4: Try to lay still after the ';act'; for about 30 minutes with your hips elevated. ALSO, inserting the Instead cup will help everything stay in place next to your cervix and you can keep it there for 12hrs
#5: Have him stay in you for about 1 minute after he's done
#6: Start taking prenatal pills
#7: Stop drinking coffee
#8: Take a low dose of baby aspirin daily
#9: If you have a problem with not creating enough ovulation mucus, buy some Robitussin with Gufainesin (sp?) as its only ingredient
There's lots of stuff out there. I've been trying for a while...I have PCOS and Stage II endometriosis. This is the first time I've bought the Pre-Seed and Instead Cups. Its not as sexy/fun, but we're trying ;0)
Good luckFirst time TTC. any great advice or helpful tips.?
First of all you have to know when are you ovulating and you can do that by counting from the day one of your period till the 13th-16th so that's when you have to have intercourse, there is another way to know your ovulation day by buying the ovulation kit it will tell you your most fertile days, you can also have intercourse on the 11th day from day one of your period then wait one day and try again on the 13th or 14th, you always wanna have at least 36 hrs. between each intercourse. and after each intercourse you wanna lay down on your back for at least 25 min. the best time to have intercourse is in the morning that's when there is a lot of sperms. HMM what else? I think these steps will be good to hane a baby fast that's ofcourse if you and you husband are healthy. I hope I helped
Know when you ovulate. Either take OPKs, and/or start taking your BBT and chart it all so you get familiar with your cycles more.
Knowing when you ovulate will give you a much greater chance at conceiving b/c you'll then know when your fertile window is (about 2-3 days before ovulation. Start having sex then up to and day of ovulation)
Start taking a prenatal, or a multi-vitamin w/ extra folic acid.
If you suffer from irregular periods, get checked out asap. It could be something that's easily fixed which will help you et pregnant sooner.
