Any tips/advice!?
I'm praying it won't turn me orange! My first spray tan is tomorrow! ADVICE or TIPS?
Exoliate well tonight when you have a shower before you go to bed. (make sure its a rough exfoliant, if you don't have one handy just get a cup of sugar, put it in a bowl and take the bowl into the shower with you, and wet your hand (not dripping wet) and place your hand in the bowl, so your hand gets covered with the sugar, then don't stand under the running water and rub your hand over your body, you will find that the sugar on your hand will take a little time to dissolve so when it does, simply dip your hand back into the bowl and repeat until you've done your whole body.. once you're out the shower and fully dried off, cover your whole body and face in moisturiser, so there will NO dry skin for tomorrow, because its dry skin that the tanning sprays and lotions colour stick really badly too, which leaves the patchy appearance.
Don't moisturise or wear make up before you go to the salon (if you're getting your face done, i do recommend it if they just go over it lightly, or you can have a really tanned neck and then a white face and your make up won't match.)
Before the person starts to apply your tan, make sure they apply a very small amount of moisturiser to the palms of your hands and soles of your feet, over your ears, in your arm pits, over your toes and over the top of your hands and fingers and onto both sides of your elbows and both sides of your knee caps (these are areas that do not naturally tan well as the skin is dry or they are usually hidden from the sun and will not tan nicley no matter what you do).
No matter what colour your tan looks like straight after its done, always wait for at least 8 hours before you shower after the tan has been put on, this is so that all ingredients in the tanning solution have time to fullly activate and soak in. If you shower sooner than this it will go streaky and patchy and look terrible.
After the 8 hours have a shower and if it does look orange, very gently exfoliate the areas that don't look right, but dont over do it or parts of your tan will come off. if you find the colour is hard to fade, keep moisturising the area for a few hours then try again. Make sure you moisturise your whole body at least twice a day up until the day you needed the tan for, as this will help the colour last and stay looking fresh, this will also help prevent it becoming patchy as the tan ages.My first spray tan is tomorrow! ADVICE or TIPS?
dont get distracted.
Make sure the place has a good reputation. My friend did spray on tan for her wedding and it was fine. I am fair skinned and blonde and I love the Neutrogena gradual self tanner line of products. The lightest one can go on dark, so be sure to mix it with a little plain lotion when you use it and always lightly moisturize rough areas (knees, elbows) before applying self tanner. Good luck!
make sure u go to a good place... wear clothes that u dont care about because they will stain ur clothes after u put them on.... trust me... ive ruined clothes that way
dont get ur face done unless it is really pale...
u wont turn orange unless ur are like extremely white
which i'm sure ur probably not
hope that helps
dont do it!
it tends to look really cheap and trashy
if it.s the mystic tan machine it will turn u orange and it will probably not look proportional because it will leave ugly white and orange spots....if somebody will do it for you, it will be alright although it does still give u an orange touch...
Dont do it, very bad idea. They turn you funny colors, make your hands and feet look weird, and the ones that dont fade fast and make your pores and hair folicles ALL over your body VERY noticable.
Ok, so here is the question; Are you doing the spray tan yourself from a can, or are you seeing a beautician?
If you're doing it yourself, make sure you don't skimp of the product you choose, because the cheaper the product, the more orange you'll turn.
Also, if you are applying the tan yourself, be sure that you don't go overboard, or leave streaks.
Really, that's the most help I can offer (:
i wouldnt do it, no offense, but you should get a real tan, it will make you a tint of light orange in most cases, and it will fade away sooner than you think
I wouldent do it.
dont wear clothes you dont want to stain.....for a good week or so
