Be confident! But not over-confident. With this industry, you have to look good and be attractive. Not so much as physical looks but to make people want to see what you are about. Make sure you smell good and are pressed up. Have an extra copy of your resume for reference as well as references already typed up and ready to hand to the interviewer. Research the company online and be ready to tell them what you found out. Get to the building early but dont go in until you are about 5 minutes to interview. Maybe 10. Employers are not always impressed when you are very early as they are busy and sometimes take offense. So no more than 5 to 10 minutes early. Take your time getting ready that day and have a great breakfast. Talk to yourself in the mirror to check your facial expressions when you talk so you know what the interviewer will see. Also, make sure your breath is fresh. Noone wants to talk to someone with foul breath. Make sure to shake the interviewers hand firmly when they reach out for you and do not sit until they offer you a seat or if they sit. Sit up straight and be confident but humble. Never discuss salary unless they bring it up and another good thing is to have already researched the pay in that industry before hand. Know what you are worth and what the industry is paying. That way they know you are about business. Always smile and never offer more info than asked. Stay calm! :-) Make sure you pray and ask God for this job before you go. Ask that you say what the interviewer wants to hear as the reality is that they are looking for a certain type of person based on previously determined needs. They are just looking for you to say and do the right things. Finally, make sure to send a letter of thanks as soon as you leave the office. That will definitely make you stand out. Hope this helps! Remember, they are not as excited about this process as you think. They want to find someone so they can go back to their other tasks as soon as possible. Good blessings to you!HELP got an interview at Dorothy perkins tomorrow advice/tips?
Always remember, preparation always pays off. Both the face-to-face and phone interviews are equally important and deal-killer at the same time. There is a general misconception that phone interviews are less formal than face-to-face interviews, but in fact that is what lands you an opportunity for a face to face meeting.
smile and be confident. Be ready to expect questions about advice that you would give customers. Sizing with women is very difficult so you have to be careful not to insult them for instance.
Ask questions about the company as well. Dress appropriately and be confident and on time

  • IM PREGNANT!! :) any advice or tips?

Took clomid 3-7, 50mgs in oct. Ovulated on cd 18. And now im pregnant with my 1st child! ! Im soo excited. I have set an appoinment with my doctor tomorrow first thing in the morning. I had 3 strong positives. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated!

    Thankyou!

And a shout out for those ladies who are still trying . Don't give up! Ur chance will come soon ...lots of babydust!IM PREGNANT!! :) any advice or tips?
Obviously cut out anything that's bad for you (excessive caffeine and sugar, street drugs, hard liquor, etc.) LOL OK, that was a joke--I'm sure you don't do any of those, but if you do, obviously it's best to stop doing them. :)

Take your prenatals every day and drink lots of water. Try to eat as healthy/balanced as possible, but you should definitely indulge your cravings. If you don't, it becomes agonizing and that's ALL you'll think about. :) Just keep in mind that with most things pregnancy related, moderation is the key.

Don't do any heavy lifting/strenuous exercises. Walking and swimming are great for you (especially the swimming onces you get farther along and your back hurts from the weight of the baby.)

Other than that, good luck!! Try to take it easy and enjoy your pregnancy. It gets pretty rough there toward the end (peeing constantly, wanting to eat everything that's not nailed down, tired of aching feet/back, etc.) but I can guarantee you that once your baby is born, all the ';bad'; things about being pregnant will be forgotten, and you WILL miss being pregnant.

Congrats!!IM PREGNANT!! :) any advice or tips?
Relax, enjoy and take care of yourself. And congratulations!

If you run into specific problems, check again, but right now any advice on stuff like morning sickness or sore tendons would be overwhelming, and you're not likely to need it. Other than staying healthy, there isn't much you have to do for a while.
What are you looking for tips for? Is there something specific you need help on?

Basically there is nothing to do...the baby will do it on it's own. Eat healthy, take prenatal vitamins, maybe get the book What to Expect When You are Expecting. Stay away from chemicals, HEAVY exercise, cat poop (NOT cats, just their poop), ask dr. before taking any meds.
ENJOY EVERY MOMENT OF IT! FROM THE MORNING SICKNESS TO THE ROLLER COASTER OF EMOTIONS! trying to become pregnant is hard especially when it doesn't come as easy as it does to others... so my advice is just to love every moment of it.
drink lots of water. just be happy and excited for now! theres a lot to come!

I always wear my prescription eye glasses because I feel I look better with them. I've worn glasses for over 8 years! This week I got prescription eye contacts in sapphire blue. The blue really stands out because I'm tan, it's not what I really wanted- but that was the only color I could get. I feel so bleh without my glasses... the photos below are of me in clear contacts. Without my glasses- It's like nothing stands out. Maybe I should get a piercing or something idk. Can you give me makeup tips/advice to make my features stand out?? ANYTHING? GREATLY APPRECIATED!

You look really pretty with AND without your glasses.

If you want to wear your glasses GO FOR IT!

If you don't, GO FOR IT! Because either way, you look pretty.

    鈾?xoxo
    Maybe some side swept bangs.
In your glasses pictures you have very clear smooth skin. and nice shaped lips a nice size nose. and your eyes are pretty there not small or squinty. so Yes i think you can go without your glasses. You probably feel more secure as you have worn them so long there part of your face. but you should show off your nice features. as i said nice eyes there wide and big nice size nose clear skin and nice size lips.

So with that being said. take off the glasses like you did in the pictures below. Only one thing i would suggest drop the drawing in eye brows doesnt' look nice. i mean if you have no choice and yours are all gone then fine but yours are to harsh the way they are now and stand out above all else on yoru face and way to dark. go for a softer look if you feel you must draw them in every day.

Now for your picture where your pouting and pushing your lips out that wasn't a nice pic. makes you look to harsh and mean looking.

now on to doing your face. it will be easier for you to make things work as you have alot of nice features so you dont' have to hide your face much.

you have dark eyes. so you will have many colours to choose from also your tanned skin. you can use light golds with silver and greens again blending is the key you don';t want to put a strip of gold then green then silver that will just look foolish but together all three blended in the right spots will look smashing on you and your eyes.

You can also go with plums light pinks ( softer pinks not the one that scream out at you) and silvers or white. again all in the way your blending.

Black liquid eye liner will frame your eyes nicely and you sort of have almond shape eyes so this will look very nice when you want the cat eyes effect. or you could make them more rounded depending on how you design your eye. you can make them longate by haveing the liner go just a bit past your eye and sweeping up motion this will lift the eye and open it as well.

be creative and try different techniques to see what look you want.

You mentioned you had colour contacts. i too have bought them before green i bought. the best is clear though go with your natural look the others look to fake anyways. and you can work with clear better with the makeup your putting on that day.

One thing i notice too you have a high forehead you may want to add bangs or have a bit of hair sweeping down or off to the side try different looks to minimize that.

But you have nothing to fear or feel shy about you have good skin complexion nice porportioned nose mouth and eyes.

    good luck
I think your new contacts look nice! If you want to mak eyour new eyes stand out more. Brown eyeshadow will make your eyes pop even more. Also wear plenty of mascara. A new hairstyle will also give you an edgier look. Good Luck!
Angled bangs will solve that problem

    Nice hair color

Wear a bit more shadow and do 2-4 coats of mascara
go for some wow eyeliner. You have such big pretty eyes you don't need much to make them pop. Don't be afraid to experiment!
i think you look totally cool with your glasses. am not really sure though.....
I think you look fine the way you are.

But if you want like an extreme makeover or something

I think you would look fabulous with shoulder length hair

    Cute makeup: like light shadow/

Thin line of eyeliner and mascara.

You look like you'd be a great glam gurl ;)
First off, you are very pretty and I know what you mean about wearing glasses. When I take mine off I feel like I'm naked, because i'm so used to it. I usually use Urban Decay eye shadow. You should pick a bright eye shadow like silver, brown, gold, etc. And then add a little bit of eye liner and a thickening mascara. You have very high cheek bones too, so you can accentuate them by smiling and adding a pink blush, and adding a lip gloss or a pink or red lipstick!

    Hope this helps!! Good Luck!!
I think you look pretty with and without glasses! But if you want to make your eyes pop more, go for some silver eyeliner along the inside lids. For something less subtle, black liquid eyeliner always stands out, and you have the perfect eye shape for it.
I think you look beautiful in both.. maybe try a darker shade of lip liner and then a softer lip color and then gloss..And for your eyes a small amount of eye liner and a bit of mascara.. (don't put the liner inside the lid with contacts on) maybe a eye liner to match the color of your highlights i thnk i can see in the pics... either way you will make the heads turn.. i have had glasses for 35 yrs. i know how you feel without them also. I tried contacts but cant wear them for my job so back to glasse.. maybe try a variety of frames then go back n forth between the glasses and contacts.. Hope this all helps...
When I hit my 30's, I decided to get more serious about skin care and makeup. I've become a regular at Department Store 'Bonus Days', when you buy an item and get a bunch of samples for free! Cosmetics and makeup can be fun, easy and inexpensive if you follow these tips!

You are a striking gal both with and without glasses. You can dab some blue or brown eye-shadow just beneath your bottom eyelashes and wear blue or black mascara

    Some tips of advice please..?

me and my boyfriend are planning on getting married...Im only 17 at the moment, I'm going to be 18 in April and he is going to be 19 in August...I love him and I definitely want to spend the rest of my life with him and I don't have any second thoughts what so ever, and I know that he is very serious. We are planning our wedding for July 25th 2009...I don't know how my parents will react to it...seeing as how my sister got married at 18 and got divorced 3 yrs later. What do you think is the best way to bring it up to my parents? Some tips of advice please..?
Theres no age limit to marriage. My mom was 18 when she was married and Im 21 and getting married in October. Some people just find it sooner. And thats FINE. Im marrying my best friend who Ive been with for 5 years and people shouldnt tell you to get out and live it up and ';find yourself';. What better way to grow and learn than with your best friend?

You really need to tell your parents asap because planning a wedding is a huge task. You're not your sister, and they shouldnt think you are. Your boyfriend asking your parents would be something I would suggest. Some tips of advice please..?
I would have him as for your hand in marriage. That way, your parents are included, he is being respectful and they already have a heads up. He should do it while you are not around. If he wants to keep with tradition he should only ask the father.

If you don't want to go that way, well, brave the store and tell them together. Openly and Honestly. Be as adult as possible. Explain to them this is what you want to do and that you need there support, not financially but emotionally.

Stand on your own two feet.
Well I'm kind of a traditional old fart. I think that the best time and way for your parents to find out is from your boyfriend asking your father for his permission and blessing.
sit your parents down with his and explain your plan. of course they're gonna freak out at first. they're losing their baby. you might want a 3rd party there to mediate?
If you're not mature enough to be able to tell your parents without worrying about how they're going to react, then you're not mature enough to get married.

The reason your sister got divorced may have been the abuse--but don't kid yourself, she and her husband were young when they got married, and marriage is tough, tough stuff. It can bring the worst out in a person, which sets it up for an abusive relationship.

Do yourself a favor, get an education, go to college, LIVE life as an independent adult (which you haven't done yet) and THEN get married. I firmly believe you aren't ready for marriage until you've lived independently--and support yourself both emotionally and financially.

Tattoo tips and advice for first timer?

So, I'm getting my first tattoo in a few months, and I have quite a few questions. First off, the tattoo I'm getting isn't really big or complex, It's an all seeing eye with rays coming out of it. The rays have some kanji letters. I'm only using like 5 colors, so it's not anything complex.

    A) I'm getting this tattoo on my left shoulder (I think this is the most common area), and it's the size is like a half of a half sleeve. How long will this take? I just want a rough estimate.

    B) I am a complete WIMP went it comes to needles. I heard pain relievers kind of work. What type of pain relievers are good (Advil, Bayer, Tylenol, etc)?

    C) What's the closest feeling of what it's going to be like? I heard that taking a razor, and lightly running it across the skin is very close.

Thank you for all of your answers.Tattoo tips and advice for first timer?
    A) three to four hours

    B) don't need them

    C) sandpaperTattoo tips and advice for first timer?
I have a tattoo about the size you want to get yours done. It took a half hour, but with five different colors it will take longer. It also depends on the artist that's doing it. It does sting and burn, but nothing too drastic. If you really need a pain killer go with tylenol, I don't suggest it though, just eat and drink before you get there so you don't pass out. You can ask them for a break if you need one and take a water bottle.
I would say an hour, give or take.

You shouldn't take ANY pain relievers before getting this done. It could stop the colours from taking, same with alcohol. Just suck it up =) I am a HUGE wimp and I have 2. It wasn't so bad. They had music on and talked to me the whole time.

To me, it felt like a burning sting. Like a hot needle being scrapped over my skin over and over. It was worth it.

    Good Luck =)
    A) It sounds pretty small so it really shouldn't take that long. Probably around 2 hours depending on the artist.

    B) It's really not that bad. I wouldn't waste my time with pain relievers, they wont help.

    C) It kind feels like a cat scratch.. Well, a lot of them.

    Have fun!
It sounds as though you are aprehensive about getting a tattoo., so don't. In the long run you will be just another dude with a tatoo. Try to find another way to express yourself without putting it on your skin. It sounds as though you may regret it.
I heard that you're supposed to eat first and that the needle feels like a bee with it's stinger gliding on your skin. Maybe check out some tattoo sites. Make sure the artist is good. Try some YouTube videos.
In addition to the other advice, re no pain pills, etc.

Be sure to use proper aftercare. The link below will help you with that.
    C) The Feeling

Okay, my story, I went out one random night and got a tat on my left side of my hip right on the hip bone, so I know what fleshy-tattooing and bone tattooing feels like

The fleshy parts are not that bad at all, it will feel like a buzzing that stings ever so slightly. You defiantly expect more pain then it is.

Now the bone is killer. It's not make-you-cry killer but significantly worse then the fleshy parts its like something scraping against the bone and vibrating. I have the lowest pain tolerance ever, and I did okay, just squeezed my friend's hand. ;) so, IN SUMMARY: Its not that bad, it will be tender.

    B) You wont need any pain pills. I am also an ultimate wimp lol

Plus, don't quote me, I believe all the pain meds thin your blood = bad.

and don't take breaks. ever. you let your arm get numb and the pain will hurt less, more breaks you take the worse it is. like running long distances!

As for time, my tattoo is about the size of a screen on a blackberry, shading and black and white and it took about 30-40 min out line shading and all. :D

Good luck! The anticipation is worse than it is. Trust me!
    A) depends on the artist. anywhere from 1-3 hours. ask your artist for an estimate.

    B) DO NOT take advil, and definitely NO aspirin. they are blood thinners, which will make you bleed heavily, making the artist's job a lot harder, and ultimately end up making the process take a lot longer. it doesnt feel the same as getting a shot or something, if thats the type of fear of needles that you have. I mean, you shouldnt be able to see the needle itself given the spot that you want it, if that helps. if the sound of the machine bothers you, bring your ipod.

    C) Mine took close to three hours, and it still isnt done, im going back in a week for a second session, and the only comparison i could come up with is a cat scratching at a reeeeeally bad sunburn. it definitely isnt fun, but it is worth it. no pain, no gain. Then again, everyone experiences pain differently. for me, it sucked. but mine is on my side from my hip to my ribs, and ive been told its a tough spot.

I got more sesitive as the process went on, but some people claim tht they sort of numb to it. i dont know, im sorry, but really the only way of knowing is getting one, it doesnt really feel like anything else.
